Summer. Soon it's back to Hogwarts for the new school year. But back at the train station, literally every Hogwarts student noticed a Red String on their wrist. The Red String was a link between two people, "soulmates," as Dumbledore told them at breakfast. And the students will need to find their soulmate.
It's true that this wasn't easy to do, the thread was long and sometimes got tangled with other people's threads.
Most of the Slytherin students thought it was idiotic to run after a piece of fabric. It was "beyond their status" to engage in such an activity.
