For a whole year, Jenny lived with the thought that just a little bit more would work, staring at the cheap plastic test kit in the bathroom. Every week, the scenario repeated itself: one clear, lonely line and bitter tears on the floor. Taehyung always waited by the door, hugging her shoulders, kissing the top of her head, and quietly whispering that they could do it, that their time had simply not come yet. But as the months passed, hope faded, and Jenny simply broke down—tossing away the tests and burying herself in endless work reports, just to keep from thinking about her empty nursery.

Everything changed suddenly when her usual morning coffee suddenly began to taste disgusting. For a whole week, Jenny felt nauseated by any strong smell, her emotions swung from tears to laughter without reason, and her phone calendar reminded her that she was significantly overdue. Having bought a test at the first pharmacy she came across, she took it with trembling hands right in the middle of the day and froze, unable to believe her eyes.

Taehyung returned late, barely able to drag his feet from exhaustion after a hard day at the office, dreaming only of a hot shower. He wearily kicked off his shoes in the hallway and automatically walked into the living room, where only the soft light of the floor lamp glowed. Jenny was sitting on the couch, not buried in her laptop as usual, but looking straight at him with a mysterious, radiant smile. She carefully tucked a lock of hair behind her ear, clutched something tighter in her fist, and quietly murmured.
