Karl Woodley is the president of the Woodley Company, which is in charge of polishing diamonds with the latest technology.

Woodley has short, black hair showing signs of aging. He has dark brown eyes, a trimmed mustache, and a goatee. He wears a black suit and tie, and a diamond ring on each finger.
Personality
Woodley is a strong, lively man who is very talkative at social gatherings. He seems to be well-informed about distinguished people. Arthur Conan Doyle describes him as someone who displays his wealth through his jewelry.

Although he appears kind, Woodley is actually impulsive and impetuous, leading him to make unfounded assumptions, such as frantically assigning blame. When vulnerable, Woodley becomes confrontational and is willing to use physical force. Furthermore, Woodley is immoral and depraved, especially when it comes to commerce and business; while he poses as a diamond polisher, he is actually involved in illegal arms dealing. He also works behind the scenes to destroy his rivals in the business.

Woodley is also a proponent of technological advancement in society, going so far as to repudiate the "cult" and "unscientific" things that happen in the 19th century.

Irene Diaz is a highly regarded opera singer. After she and Grimsby Keane, another celebrity, separated, she began a relationship with actor Julius Pitt.

Irene is a beautiful young woman with lavender eyes and long, wavy blonde hair, which she usually wears in a ponytail adorned with a garland of lilac flowers. She typically wears elegant and distinctive dresses. Her accessories include a pearl necklace, earrings, and long gloves.
Personality
Irene is a calm, composed, and courteous person; she only reacts strongly when rejected. For example, when Georg von Siemens continued to compliment her despite her insistence that he stop, she slapped him and scolded him for his insolence. However, when reprimanded for her actions, she would genuinely apologize and thank those who helped her.
Patient and tolerant, Irene often tries to calm the belligerent Grimsby Keane whenever he vents his anger. She is also very sensitive to macabre matters, such as murder, becoming agitated and fainting at gruesome details like the inevitable decomposition of corpses. Furthermore, Irene is insecure about her age and, therefore, tends to consume the anti-aging substance, Red Goatee, to maintain her youthful appearance.

Grimsby Keane is a theater producer; who had a relationship with Irene Diaz.

Grimsby is a considerably attractive young adult. He has light-colored hair, usually combed back, with a curly lock falling over his left eye. One of his ears is pierced with a long dangling seahorse earring. Grimsby wears a black tuxedo and a polka-dotted bow tie.
Personality
Grimsby is a rather dramatic person; passionate about his work in the theater. He interrupts Ciel Phantomhive and Arthur Conan Doyle's conversation to express his interest in working with Ciel in the entertainment industry.

He is in love with Irene Diaz, so much so that he became enraged when Georg von Siemens tried to harass her despite her protests. He is very protective of her, as clearly seen when he reacted angrily to the servants who were interrogating her.

Grimsby is prone to losing his temper, so Irene often had to intervene. When he gets angry, he's impulsive and belligerent, as seen when he threw a wine bottle at Siemens. He's sensitive and extremely reluctant to be accused of a crime; he frequently defends himself by being predisposed to point the finger at someone.

Agni is a tall man of Indian origin in Kuroshitsuji, with slate-gray eyes and white hair. He is known for his profound devotion and loyalty to Prince Soma Asman Kadar, whom he serves with an almost supernatural efficiency that rivals that of Sebastian Michaelis. Physical Appearance Height and Features: He is a tall man with slate-gray eyes. Hair: His hair is short and snow-white, with two long strands decorated with beads. Before meeting Soma, he wore his hair long and loose. Traditional Attire: He wears a green sherwani, yellow and white churidar trousers with a sash, and a simple turban. Prince Soma Asman Kadar from Kuroshitsuji is a 17-year-old Indian boy with tan skin, golden eyes, and wavy plum-colored hair. His personality is characterized by being cheerful, immature, and very energetic, although he evolves toward a more mature and self-aware attitude after experiencing harsh lessons from reality. Physical Appearance: Face and Hair: He has striking golden eyes and shoulder-length plum-colored hair, with a lock tied in a high ponytail with a gold brooch. He wears a decorative bindi on his forehead. Traditional attire: He wears a long, richly embroidered sherwani, fitted churidar trousers, and white slippers. Georg is an older man with a large nose and short, slicked-back gray hair. He has a considerable amount of thick facial hair, including eyebrows, sideburns, and a goatee. He wears a tuxedo with a bow tie. On one occasion, when he was drunk, he wrapped his bow tie around his head. [3]

When sober, Georg is professional, calm, ambitious, and intelligent, and is eager to discuss social and economic issues with others. [4] Even so, Georg shows signs of his libidinous nature when he becomes flustered around Ran-Mao. [5] Later, however, when drunk, he easily loses self-control and becomes aggressive and somewhat violent; he grabs Irene Diaz even after she asks him to stop, and shouts insolently at her and throws a drink at her when she refuses to let him continue groping her. He blames his unwanted advances on Irene, claiming it's her fault because of the way she dresses. [6] Ciel Phantomhive speculates that he is a repeat offender who frequently behaves this way, and Sebastian Michaelis believes that he lacks self-control, either because Georg is a fool or because he is shameless. Patrick Phelps (パトリック・フェルプス, Patorikku Ferupusu) is the son of a distinguished shipbuilding magnate. [1] He is also a board member and supervisor of the commercial division of Blue Star Line Company, where he focuses on shipbuilding and cargo shipping. [2]

Patrick is, in general, a quiet, shy, and mild-mannered individual; he is easily agitated and insecure. Although Arthur Conan Doyle identifies him as a prestigious individual, Patrick is meek and submissive in the presence of other powerful individuals, as he visibly trembled in the presence of Karl Woodley and was overwhelmed by Lau. [3] When Patrick failed to appear for dinner at the Phantomhive Manor, the other guests barely noticed his absence; it only became apparent when an extra plate was set aside, and even then, he was described as so "discreet" that his absence almost went unnoticed. [4]

Snake is the Phantomhive household footman. He was formerly a leading member of Noah's Ark Circus, for which he performed as a snake charmer specializing in snake dancing. It is said that he is half-snake himself; Snake is able to understand snakes and allows them to speak through him. He owns dozens of snakes, including Wordsworth, Emily, Goethe, Oscar, Wilde, Webster, Brontë, Donne, and Keats.

Snake is a slender young man with golden eyes, short white hair with a distinctive tuft that trembles when he's nervous and straightens when he's frightened, pale skin interspersed with scales, and a forked tongue. He is always accompanied by at least one of his snakes.
As a footman in the Phantomhive household, Snake wears a suit with a low waistcoat and a ribbon instead of a tie.
Previously, when traveling with Noah's Ark Circus, Snake wore a high-collared jacket with wide sleeves that covered his hands; a black and white striped shirt underneath the jacket, cinched at the waist and neck with two belts; and thigh-high boots. When leaving camp, he changed into a plain-colored cape.
Personality
Snake is a shy and reserved individual who generally only speaks to relay information from his snakes. According to Joker, Snake and his friends are timid. However, the snakes are playful at times, such as when Snake flirted with Dagger through Emily, one of his snakes. Snake feels self-conscious about the scales on his skin and fears being ridiculed for looking different from others.
Snake greatly appreciates the other frontline members. Although he didn't refer to them as brothers or sisters as they did to each other and didn't accompany them on their missions, he appreciates them because they treated him like a member of the family despite his appearance.
After Ciel Phantomhive took Snake in, he has since become as loyal and devoted to Ciel as the other servants.

Ran-Mao
Ran-Mao is an attractive young woman of Chinese descent with large golden eyes and long, jet-black hair with a square fringe. She wears her hair styled in thin braids and two buns shaped like cat ears, adorned with a pink peony and a gold tassel on the left bun.

Ran-Mao usually wears a short lavender and black cheongsam, decorated with dark pink petals, with a short dark blue jacket and a Western-style corset [6] over it. She also wears thick black stockings when she goes out, [6] black ballet slippers, and gold anklets with bells.

When performing her duties as Lau's personal assassin, Ran-Mao wields two chuí (hammers or maces); the chuí are gold, blue, and maroon, and are adorned with a blue tassel at the top. A single blow from the chuí can shatter pavement. [7]

Ran-Mao is a mostly impassive and taciturn person who almost never engages in conversation. She is deeply loyal to Lau; she accompanies him wherever he goes and generally acts only when he commands her to. [8] Although she is not related to Lau, he refers to her as his sister, since they have known each other since they were very young; [9] he once described her as a "spoiled brat". [10]

Ran-Mao is flirtatious. At Lau's request or suggestion, she will try to seduce others, such as when she flirted with Georg von Siemens at one of Ciel Phantomhive's parties [10] and with Baldroy. [11]

Ran-Mao, a highly skilled martial artist, possesses formidable strength and speed. [12] She has no qualms about using violence to obtain information or to defend herself. [13]

Lau is a nobleman of Chinese origin, president of the "Kong-Rong" Trading Company, manager of the English Section of Chinese Foreign Trade, the top official of the Chinese Qīng Bāng syndicate, opium trafficker, and an Aristocrat of Evil.
In order to continue his business in the underworld, Lau must follow the orders of Ciel Phantomhive, who has given him control of the eastern district, the East End and the black market docks.
Appearance
Lau is a Chinese nobleman, and as such, he dresses in Chinese clothing, including a Tangzhuang. He tends to keep his hands hidden and intertwined in his long sleeves. He also has short, black hair. It can be seen that Lau almost never opens his eyes; the few times his eyes have been seen, they are a dark brown color.
Personality
Lau is generally a carefree man with a near-permanent smile on his face, not to mention how easy he is to deal with and his constant cheerfulness. However, Lau tends to have certain strange habits, such as being surrounded by women and always having his personal assassin, Lan-Mao, on his lap or in his arms, even though he refers to her as "his sister" despite there being no blood relation between them.
Furthermore, Lau has the irritating habit of always pretending to know what's going on. An example of this is the first time Ciel visits Undertaker; Lau acts as if he also knows what's happening, and it's not until the end that he reveals he actually knows nothing. This trait irritates others, even Sebastian himself, yet Lau doesn't seem to be aware that others consider him strange or odd.
It is also worth mentioning that Lau has a certain affinity for violence.

Grey is a young man with silver eyes, long eyelashes, and disheveled, silver hair that reaches almost to his chin, except for a few strands at the nape of his neck that extend to the middle of his back. He is approximately a head shorter than Charles Phipps. Grey wears an unbuttoned white tailcoat, revealing a dark button-down shirt with lace trim and a white cowboy tie. His white trousers are tucked into knee-high boots, over which he wears knee-high gaiters. He wears black gloves and a brooch with a bow and the profile of Queen Victoria hanging from a short chain. A gold-caged rapier is held in his right hand at his belt.

Phipps is a tall young man with short, silver hair and a mole on the left side of his chin.
Phipps wears a white uniform consisting of a double-breasted jacket, a black tie, and several cords, two of which encircle his torso and one that passes over and under his right shoulder. He wears a brooch with a bow and the profile of Queen Victoria, which hangs from a short chain. He carries a rapier in his left hand, attached to one of his belts.
Phipps is a quiet and reserved person. He is staunchly loyal to Queen Victoria and diligently carries out his duties alongside his partner, Charles Grey, with whom he often works in pairs.
Unlike Grey, who readily engages in combat, Phipps tends to refrain from fighting. For example, he merely observed Grey's confrontation with Mey-Rin rather than participate and later helped Mey-Rin to her feet after Grey knocked her down. Furthermore, Phipps typically takes an objective and pragmatic approach to situations and generally avoids making unfounded assumptions or meddling in matters that don't concern him. For instance, while Grey was suspicious of the incredible speed with which Ciel Phantomhive and Sebastian Michaelis sent a package from Germany to London, Phipps surmised that Ciel must have used his numerous connections in the underground to accomplish this. Furthermore, Phipps is exceptionally skillful and quick. He is very meticulous about cleanliness and order; on one occasion, he sewed a flower onto Finnian's hat to mend it and insisted that he could do such a job because he was a "first-class butler." Later, he made the same comment about his skill at playing a snake-charming flute. Additionally, Phipps has an aptitude for the arts; he enjoys cooking and painting. He also likes pretty things.

Personality
Grey is a bold and self-assured individual with a penchant for hand-to-hand combat; he finds fighting quite exciting and sometimes refers to it as "play." Grey is staunchly loyal to Queen Victoria and diligently carries out his duties alongside his counterpart, Charles Phipps, with whom he frequently partners.
Confident in his swordsmanship, Grey readily engages in combat whenever the opportunity arises, such as when he fought Mey-Rin, a professional assassin, and effortlessly cut through her double pistols. On one occasion, he admitted that he enjoys toying with an opponent who cannot resist and that he hates to lose, even if it is just a game. He has a propensity for violence, as evidenced when he stomped on Mey-Rin's chest so hard that she spat blood.
Furthermore, Grey is exceptionally cunning. For example, he knew exactly how to manipulate Ciel Phantomhive into accepting an optional mission, and he was rightly suspicious of the incredible speed with which Ciel and Sebastian Michaelis sent a package from Germany to London, while Phipps, in contrast, downplayed the detail. It is said that Grey serves England with the same shrewdness as his grandfather. In addition, Grey has a voracious appetite. He once devoured an entire dinner of curry when he was only "a little hungry." Grey is also a heavy drinker, having consumed several glasses of wine, while Georg von Siemens became ill after only three.
Furthermore, Grey is afraid of ghosts, stating that he only believes in things he can cut with his sword. He is also afraid of snakes.

Tanaka is the manager of the Phantomhive household and company; as well as the oldest employee of the mansion.
Tanaka was the only person besides Ciel who knew about his twin brother. Appearance
Tanaka is an elderly man with slicked-back gray hair, a mustache, and a monocle. He is always seen wearing a clean suit and white gloves, and carrying a cup of Japanese tea.
He is often depicted as smaller than he actually is (chibi form). However, in his true form, he appears to be quite well preserved.
Personality
Tanaka has a very calm personality as a child, simply laughing at any situation. However, as he grows up, he proves to be a very knowledgeable and experienced person, especially regarding the Phantomhive family, having witnessed everything that happens.

Appearance
Finnian has large green eyes and blond hair held back with five red barrettes (two on one side and three on the other). As the gardener, he wears appropriate clothing for the job, including brown plaid shorts, a beige shirt with red trim around the collar, distinctive gardening gloves, and a straw hat given to him by Ciel Phantomhive, which he wears backward to conceal a serial number (S-102) tattooed on the back of his neck from his time as a test subject in experiments.

Personality
Commonly called Finni, he has a very innocent and childlike personality, not to mention being friendly and clumsy. Finni is always willing to help and doesn't bother to hide his enthusiasm for the work, or his excitement when he makes a mistake, tending to burst into tears (which happens all the time). Like the other staff members of the manor, Finni feels immense respect and admiration for Sebastian, as well as fear when Sebastian gets angry about poorly done tasks. Finni is also loyal to Ciel Phantomhive, whom he sees as his savior for rescuing him and taking him to live with him at the manor.

Due to his superhuman strength, Finnian tends to destroy everything he touches. For this reason, Sebastian hired him as the Phantomhive household gardener, as he doesn't cause as much damage outside the house. Similarly, Finnian prefers open spaces where he can feel free.

The manga explains that Finnian isn't actually clumsy or an idiot; rather, his immense strength is a serious problem, even for himself. While the anime tones down his attitude during fights considerably (he only throws rocks), the manga shows that he possesses a trance-like state that makes him violent and bloodthirsty, which takes over when he has to fight. If he's ever harmed, he could involuntarily kill someone.

Mey-Rin guards the mansion as a sniper.
Mey-Rin is a determined and strong-willed individual who seeks to prove her worth. [17] Like the other Phantomhive servants, she is fiercely loyal to Ciel Phantomhive and deeply respects Sebastian Michaelis, with whom she is in love [18] because he appreciates who she is and her skills as a sniper. [19] Working for Ciel, she is allowed to wear skirts, which pleases her, [20] and is given glasses, which she cherishes and refuses to replace. [21] She tends to remove these glasses when assuming her role as a sniper in order to focus at long distances.

Mey-Rin, though clumsy and awkward as a servant,[22] remains an invaluable servant, as she is an exceptional sniper who guards the Phantomhive Manor at night and eliminates enemies. She can distinguish targets at great distances and aim and fire with flawless accuracy.[23] She prefers not to use a telescopic sight, keeps a large number of rifles on the manor roof to reduce reload time,[24] and skillfully handles high-powered rifles, pistols, and other firearms.[Appearance]
Mey-Rin is a young woman with hazel eyes and straight, maroon hair, which she usually wears in two high pigtails. She wears large, thick, round glasses, a gift from her master,[11] so she can see up close; her vision is extraordinary, as she can see and shoot targets thousands of kilometers away.[12]

Baldroy is a level-headed and level-headed American veteran. [9] Like the other Phantomhive servants, he is fiercely loyal to Ciel Phantomhive and deeply respects Sebastian Michaelis.

Baldroy takes charge of the other servants when Ciel and Sebastian are not present, such as when he coordinated an attack against the frontline members of the circus. Baldroy is passionate about cooking. Having served in the war, he is accustomed to hard work and a frenetic pace. He always keeps high-powered weapons on hand and often uses a flamethrower or blowtorch to cook as quickly as possible, which usually ends in disaster. [10] He sometimes describes things in warlike terms, such as when he called the mice "the enemy," the manor "the battlefield," and the hunt to catch them "a fight." [15] In addition to his love of cooking and war, he prides himself on his skill at repairing electronic devices.

Arthur is a young man with brown eyes and thick eyebrows. He has short, messy brown hair with bangs that frame his face and come down between his eyes in a point. He wears a simple, dark suit, which consists of a vest; a plain, button-down shirt; and a black tie.

Personality
Arthur is a considerate, humble, and unpresuming individual who labels himself as "somewhat unfortunate yet ordinary" and describes his existence as "humdrum."[9] He is profoundly passionate about writing and dedicates his time to writing when he is not working.[4] However, having only managed to publish one story, he is very insecure and unconfident regarding his creative writing skills; when Ciel Phantomhive stated that his work is novel, fresh, and imaginative, he, rather self-deprecatingly, blamed his own pretentiousness for writing about something beyond his expertise.[4][10] Thus, he exhibits signs of an inferiority complex, as he is prone to dismiss any compliments by putting himself down.

Furthermore, Arthur is extremely knowledgeable about renowned and famous people, and is able to correctly identify several of the eminent guests at Ciel's banquet.[11] However, he gets easily agitated and self-conscious in their presence, and typically minimizes his own importance by sitting in solitude.[12]

Despite his lack of self-confidence, Arthur is a very competent and responsible man, as evidenced when he was appointed leader of the investigation at Ciel's banquet[13] and organized the alibi list.[14] Furthermore, he is eager to learn new things, such as when he asked Lau to explain the Japanese "baritsu" Tanaka employed, while taking notes.[15] He is also perceptive, and is quick to comprehend the particulars,[16] such as when he realized Sebastian cannot possibly be human.[17] Reflective and intrigued by mystery, he would invest significant time into pondering about situations that puzzle him.[18]

Additionally, Arthur deeply cares for children, especially since he has ten siblings and a younger brother.[5] He is also fluent in French.[19][2

General
Ciel Phantomhive is a 13-year-old boy with dark blue hair and sky-blue eyes, the pupils being a deeper shade. Nina Hopkins, his tailor, describes Ciel as having a "wonderfully proportioned" body. His legs are slender and his waist narrow; moreover, one could say that Ciel is small for his age, given his height and build. Ciel usually wears suits (generally combining black and blue) befitting his social status.

Ciel carries two rings. One, a silver piece adorned with a deep blue sapphire, worn on his left thumb, has been passed down through generations. The other, a gold signet ring bearing the Phantomhive family crest, is worn on his right hand to seal documents. This ring was given to him by his aunt, Angelina Durless, as it was the only one that survived the fire.

Ciel has a red-hot iron burn mark on the left side of his body, which he received during his time as a slave in a satanic cult.

Contract
Ciel bears the mark of his contract with Sebastian on his right eye, which is permanently activated. Because of this, Ciel covers his eye with a black eyepatch (made of gauze) that he ties with a single cord during his daily activities, while at night he wears a white one, this time tied with two cords.

In his daily routine, Ciel behaves like a serious person who enjoys playing small (cruel) pranks on his butler, Sebastian. Ciel tries to make others not worry about him, occasionally granting small wishes like a smile or a walk. However, he could be described as a cruel and despicable person, since all his actions are designed to achieve his desires and pave his way to his goal, much like a game of chess. In this way, Ciel Phantomhive admits to living solely for the purpose of achieving his revenge.

After the fire that destroyed the mansion and took his parents' lives, Ciel Phantomhive changed drastically. During the time he was missing and presumed dead, Ciel was sold into slavery in the underworld to a satanic cult. It was then that he suffered various physical, psychological, and emotional traumas. Once he gave up and became convinced that no one would come to help him, the fear he felt transformed into anger.
Completely enraged by the humiliation his family suffered, Ciel becomes a person consumed by vengeance and pride. Sebastian himself comments that, despite his small size, his ambition is admirable. In the first few days after escaping, Ciel remains a child with little knowledge of the outside world or connections, spoiled and perhaps naive; however, he can be seen as emotionally stronger and colder. Ciel Phantomhive adopts a serene and confident personality as the leader of the Funtom Company; nevertheless, people close to him from his childhood (such as his aunt and his fiancée) realize that something has changed since his disappearance.
As the Queen's Watchdog, Ciel is extremely intelligent and a master of deception. Able to make the rest of the world believe he is a child prodigy fully recovered from his past, he continues to pursue his desire to make those responsible for the disgrace to his family name pay. Ciel has become someone who doesn't hesitate to kill others, most often after judging them by his own standards.

Due to his past experiences, Ciel suffers from post-traumatic stress. This is demonstrated during the Noah's Circus arc, where he relives the same scenario and collapses due to the emotional shock. Another example can be seen in the Green Witch's Forest arc, where the shock of the poisoning causes him to have a timid and weak personality, which is why he reacts violently toward adults.

As a child, Ciel rarely left the mansion due to the sickly condition he inherited from his mother. This made him a timid child with low self-esteem, always seen behind his father because of the fear new people caused him, and like a spectator forbidden from leaving the house, spending his days watching others have fun from the window.

Unlike his brother, Ciel was a quiet and unassuming child, almost imperceptible in the mansion because he spent most of his time reading or playing in his room. Ciel had an inferiority complex compared to his older brother, whom he describes as "kind, strong, cheerful, and trustworthy," while he describes himself as the one who would not become an earl. After many comparisons, he expresses with some envy and sadness that his brother was very fortunate.

Ciel often felt like a "burden" to others, as he was always sick and unable to do the same things as his brother. This is shown when the family is ready to go for a boat ride, but Ciel is still sick and unable to go. At that moment, a dejected Ciel says it would be better if they went without him, so they wouldn't have to give up their trip. Tanaka describes this as a mature and serious act on his part, rewarding him for his effort despite knowing the sadness it caused him. In the old man's words, Ciel was a kind-hearted child who was considerate of others.

Despite his condition, Ciel always felt that he was a happy child with people who truly cared about him, recalling having experienced several moments of joy.

Demonic form
Like the other demons, Sebastian can change his eye color to a striking pink with feline pupils. Sebastian's true form has been partially revealed throughout the anime and manga. Details of this form include stiletto heels (apparently made of some kind of metal, judging by the sound they make), a shower of black feathers, sharp claws, and more pronounced fangs. Before transforming, Sebastian repeatedly states that his form is unpleasant to look at; Ash Landers, upon seeing him, is overcome with hysteria, calling him "filthy."

He is a cat lover, especially black cats; as seen in the episode "That Butler, Clash," where he admires one or more cats, saying "fluffy, fluffy," petting them, and observing them with great pleasure.

Sebastian's ability to be sarcastic has also been shown, as well as being indifferent to many things, such as Ciel's life, as when he was kidnapped and Sebastian sarcastically showed concern not for his master's life, but for tea time. Sebastian is someone with a somewhat sadistic sense of humor, going so far as to put the lives of others in danger just for his entertainment, showing no remorse.

Personality
Sebastian is a dutiful and dedicated butler serving Ciel Phantomhive. He faithfully follows his every order, always ensuring that the Phantomhive household runs smoothly. As such, he is noticeably annoyed whenever Ciel is delayed. The way he responds to Ciel's demands is quite notable, as whenever Ciel orders Sebastian to do something, he always responds, "Yes my lord."

Sebastian usually has a calm, noble, and stern attitude. He always performs the tasks of the Phantomhive mansion with style and grace, making them seem incredibly easy, when in reality, some tasks are impossible for a human to do, Sebastian always answers this by rhetorically asking, "Being a butler of the Phantomhive family, how could I not do something as simple as this?" demonstrating once again his calm and perfectionist personality.

This has caught the attention of many professionals, who have highlighted Sebastian's skills, but he always responds with his humble and characteristic comment: "I'm just a simple butler."

Sebastian has a remarkably humble and polite personality, due to his elegant comments and his intelligence and skill in almost any task he performs, but in chapters 94 and 95 of the manga he shows a totally opposite behavior, as he takes advantage of the fact that Ciel is in a pitiful, vulnerable and childish state to try to devour his soul.

Although the butler has managed to perfectly imitate the personality and emotions of a human, in reality, Sebastian is a cold, cruel and indifferent demon, who does not hesitate to kill anyone in order to comply with the orders given to him as a butler. He always manages to hide his true demonic nature with a false reassuring smile accompanied by a casual joke from time to time.

Contract
Sebastian's contract mark is located on his left hand. Its design is somewhat complex: it features a five-pointed star surrounded by a circle and decorated on the outside.

Appearance
Sebastian in his human form has the appearance of an adult between 25 and 30 years old. He has short jet-black hair with bangs that cover a third of his face but provide enough visibility.

His eyes are crimson and like any humble butler he wears a black tuxedo (made according to him from the finest and most expensive sheepskin), a white shirt and black shoes, with his respective tie and gloves to match. When he is not wearing gloves, you can see that the color of his nails is black.

Sebastian carries a silver pocket watch given to him by Tanaka, which can only be worn by the head of the Mansion's servants. In cold weather, he has been seen wearing a long black coat.

Ciel and Sebastian knew the plan beforehand. They took advantage of the situation: they let Grey kill Siemens, orchestrated Sebastian's "death" to move freely, planted evidence against Woodley (who was a criminal anyway), and thus fulfilled the Queen's secret task, cleared the name of House Phantomhive, and sent a corrupt businessman to prison.
Sebastian briefly reveals his true demonic form to Arthur, deeply shocking him. This experience inspires Arthur Conan Doyle to dedicate himself fully to writing mystery novels (laying the foundation for what would become the Sherlock Holmes adventures).
In the end, Ciel invites Snake to live at the Phantomhive manor, both to gain his trust and to prevent future attempts at revenge. Sebastian officially regains his position as head butler and renews his oath of loyalty to Ciel "until that lie becomes the truth."

Part 2 begins just after the arrival of the mysterious Reverend Jeremy Rathborne at the storm-isolated Phantomhive manor. Sebastian had foreseen his own “death” and had given Mey-Rin a letter to send by owl at dawn; this letter was precisely the one that summoned Rathborne to investigate the murders.
Rathborne joins Arthur Conan Doyle in the investigation. They soon discover that Patrick Phelps's murder was committed by a snake (an African black mamba) trained to attack by following Ciel's scent. The snake had been sent by Snake, the boy from Noah's Ark Circus, as revenge for the deaths of his companions. This shifts suspicion to Karl Woodley, who has business interests in Africa.
Rathborne also deduces that Georg von Siemens had faked his own death as a cruel joke (using a vial of poison which he then threw into the fire). However, he was murdered for real shortly afterward. The true killer of Siemens (and Sebastian) turns out to be, according to the official explanation, Woodley, who wanted to frame Ciel to protect his illegal diamond business. Woodley is arrested, and the case appears to be closed.
The guests prepare to leave, but Arthur Conan Doyle, upon exiting the mansion, notices several serious inconsistencies in Rathborne's theory. He returns and confronts the group. He then reveals the truth: Jeremy Rathborne is actually Sebastian Michaelis in disguise.
Sebastian removes his disguise and confirms that he never died. He explains that everything was planned from the beginning. The true culprit behind the murders of Siemens and "Sebastian" was Charles Grey (Earl Grey), one of the Double Charles. Queen Victoria had sent him on a secret double mission:
To assassinate Georg von Siemens in order to halt Germany's financial and industrial advancement.
To frame Ciel for the murder as punishment and a test of loyalty, because he did not obey orders to kill the children in the circus.

Before “dying,” the butler bids farewell to the other servants (Baldroy, Finnian, and Mey-Rin), gives them instructions for the following day, and says goodbye to Ciel. At dawn, they find his body. Shortly afterward, another guest (Patrick Phelps) is found dead.
Arthur analyzes the times and alibis and concludes that the three murders could not have been committed by the same person. As the group begins to suspect an outside intruder, a mysterious reverend named Jeremy Rathborne suddenly appears, claiming to have been called in to investigate.
The chapter ends with the arrival of this new character and the atmosphere of suspicion and tension inside the mansion isolated by the storm.

The story begins shortly after the events of Noah's Ark Circus. Queen Victoria is dissatisfied with Ciel's report (because he failed to rescue the children as ordered) and decides to test his loyalty and ability as Watchdog.
One rainy day, Mey-Rin and Baldroy are in the Phantomhive manor's kitchen when two men suddenly burst through the door with a sword: Charles Grey and Charles Phipps, known as the Double Charles, the Queen's butlers and private secretaries. Grey immediately attacks Baldroy and Mey-Rin to "test the manor's defenses." Baldroy defends himself with a kitchen knife and Mey-Rin with her pistols, but Grey is too quick and skillful. Only when Sebastian intervenes does the fight stop. Phipps calmly observes and helps Mey-Rin to her feet afterward.
The Double Charleses formally introduce themselves and deliver the Queen's message: Ciel must host a banquet at Phantomhive Manor in honor of the German banker Lord Georg von Siemens, who is visiting England. Grey hints that the Queen is displeased with the circus affair, so Ciel accepts the order to regain her favor.
Two weeks later the banquet is held. Several members of high society and the underworld attend: among them the producer Grimsby Keane, the opera singer Irene Diaz, the diamond merchant Karl Woodley, the heir Patrick Phelps, Lau and Ran-Mao, and the young and still unknown writer Arthur Conan Doyle (of whom Ciel is a great admirer).
Dinner proceeds elegantly until, in the middle of the night, a violent storm isolates the mansion, and screams are heard. Sebastian and the others find Georg von Siemens dead in his room. Everyone has an alibi… except Ciel. Therefore, he is placed under Arthur Conan Doyle's surveillance.
That same night, someone attacks and “kills” Sebastian. Before “dying,” the butler bids farewell to the other servants (Baldroy, Finnian, and Mey-Rin),
