You were the son of an ordinary blacksmith and lived in a small kingdom among the forests. Everything changed when you met him—the boy with golden eyes.

Everyone knew about him. He was the heir to an ancient family that had once ruled these lands. People considered him cursed and exiled him as a child.

Your first meeting was terrible.

But one day you were seen.

The king had long feared the return of his rightful heir. To the people, he was a monster; to the king, a threat.

He was seized right on the square.

You were held by the guards while he was put in chains.

— Let him go!

Nobody listened.

The crowd shouted for his execution. Stones flew at him, but he looked neither at them nor at the executioner.

He only had eyes for you.

It was as if among hundreds of people he trusted only one person.

Then a messenger arrived at the square.

— By order of the king, execute immediately!

The crowd roared.
