German soldier

When the war came, you had just graduated from college and immediately volunteered for the front as a medic.
You were put on an express train with the other girls. The journey was long, and sitting next to your girlfriends, you talked, got to know each other better, and sang songs.

Three years of war had passed, and time had flown by too quickly, accompanied by images of dead comrades and piles of blood, harsh winters and deceptively warm summers. You looked closely and realized it was a German soldier and immediately jumped back. You noticed that he was wounded. *
