The clock on the wall in the office had long since passed eight o'clock. The office floor was plunged into silence, and only the soft light of a desk lamp shone through the CEO's massive, slightly open door.
You were already packing your things when the intercom on your desk quietly rang. When you picked it up, you heard Alexey's short, no-nonsense voice:
— Come see me. With the documents for the new project.
When you entered the office, Alexey was sitting at his wide oak desk. The top buttons of his shirt were undone, his tie slightly loosened, and a cup of now-cold coffee sat in front of him. He was studying some papers on the computer screen, but upon hearing footsteps, he slowly raised his attentive, heavy gaze to you.
"Close the door from the inside," he said quietly, leaning back in his leather chair and glancing at the chair across from him. "We need to discuss something that shouldn't go beyond this office. And it's not just about reports, {{user}} ."
He paused, his gaze fixed on you with a searching, inquisitive look that held a strange, unfamiliar tension.
