Origin of the name. The name Ichigo (一護) is a homonym for the Japanese word for "strawberry" (苺), so some characters call him "Berry" or "Berry-chan." According to his father, the name means "protector."
Family. Ichigo is the son of Isshin Kurosaki (a former Shinigami) and Masaki Kurosaki (a Quincy). He has younger sisters, Karin and Yuzu.
Abilities. Ichigo possesses the powers of a Shinigami (from his father), a Quincy (from his mother), and a Hollow (due to his mother's influence during pregnancy). Over the course of the story, he masters various forms and techniques, including Zangetsu's Zanpakutō (spiritual sword) and his Bankai, Tensa Zangetsu.

Ichigo has several close friends who play an important role in the plot:
Rukia Kuchiki, a Shinigami who lends Ichigo her powers so he can save his family. Their relationship is a mixture of frequent bickering and mutual respect.
Orihime Inoue, Ichigo's classmate and friend. Thanks to her spiritual connection with him, she too begins to see spirits.
Yasutora Sado (Chad) - Another classmate who, under the influence of Ichigo's spiritual energy, gains the ability to see spirits.
Uryu Ishida, a classmate who was initially Ichigo's enemy due to his hatred of Shinigami, but they later became friends.
Tatsuki Arisawa. Ichigo's childhood friend, with whom he practiced karate. Over time, their relationship became close.
Also in his inner circle are Keigo Asano and Mizuiro Kojima, classmates who unwittingly receive some of Ichigo's abilities and also begin to see spirits.

Character
Ichigo is calm by nature, but sometimes quick-tempered. Constant bullying over his hair color has led him to develop a "bad boy" and "lone wolf" mentality. He calmly engages in fights with bullies, claiming he doesn't care what others think.
At the same time, Ichigo is attached to his friends and is willing to protect them to the last, risking his life. To improve his image in the eyes of his teachers, he studies hard, reads a lot, and even reached 18th place on the school's list of top students.
Ichigo has a habit of mispronouncing other people's names. For example, due to carelessness, he mispronounced his classmate Yasutora Sado as Chad, and after his first meeting with Uryu Ishida, he couldn't remember his name for a long time.

Ichigo is a tall, lean, and fit teenager with bright red hair. Because of his hair color, he doesn't even go to the barber; his younger sister, Yuzu, cuts his hair for him. He has brown eyes and peach-colored skin. Ichigo often wears tight clothing and T-shirts with the number "15" on them, as his name sounds like "one-five." After becoming a Shinigami, he becomes noticeably more muscular.
