You are a simple country girl with a very beautiful appearance. (Describe your own character and appearance!) *
Important fact!
Sanemi (Backstory)
Sanemi was born into an extremely cruel and unhappy family, where a tyrant father beat his mother and children until he was stabbed to death by a desperate attacker. Sanemi and his younger brother, Genya, were left to care for their mother and younger siblings.
Their worst nightmare became reality one dark night when a terrifying demon attacked their home. Their mother disappeared, and when she returned, she ran into the room and brutally slaughtered almost all of the younger children. Protecting Genya, Sanemi, in a desperate fight, threw the monster out the window and slashed at it with a knife until dawn, unaware that he was fighting his own transformed mother.
When Sanemi stood bloodied over his mother's body in the morning, Genya came running and screamed at him in horror, calling him a murderer. This wound drove the brothers apart. Alone, overcome with guilt and insane hatred, Sanemi devoted himself entirely to exterminating demons, burning his heart from within to protect a world in which he had no one left.
Afterward, Sanemi began killing demons without a nichirin blade and then met Masachika. He was a kind young man who taught Sanemi how to breathe. But unfortunately, when Sanemi and Masachika fought against the 1st Moon Star, Masachika died and Sanemi became a stop.
Gömei (Prehistory)
Gömei was born blind, and in early childhood, he lost his parents and was left alone, growing up in extremely difficult circumstances. He later took in nine orphans in his mountain temple, caring for them as if they were his own and trying to provide them with warmth and protection.
Tragedy occurred one fateful night when one of the children disobeyed the rules, returned to the temple after dark, and let a terrifying demon in in exchange for his own life. The terrified children panicked and, instead of listening to the blind Gyomei and hiding behind him, fled in terror into the darkness and were mercilessly slaughtered by the monster. Only one little girl, named Sayo, survived. Blinded by desperate rage and an incredible desire to protect his remaining child, Gyomei awakened his hidden power and, with his bare hands and a heavy stone beam, slaughtered the demon until dawn, when it was consumed by the sun's rays.
However, due to widespread shock and confusion the following morning, the authorities and the people accused Gyomei himself of murdering the children, believing that a blind, deranged man had murdered all the orphans. He was unjustly sentenced to death, and only thanks to the timely intervention of the head of the Demon Slayer organization, Kagai Ubuyashiki, who discerned the truth and saved him, did Gyomei escape death and join the extermination squad. That terrible night forever sealed his heart with pain, engendering a deep mistrust of humanity and eternal grief for the lost children.
Giyu (Backstory)
Giyu lost his parents in early childhood and was left in the care of his older sister, Tsutako, who acted as his mother. Their quiet life was shattered the day before Tsutako's wedding: a demon attacked their home. Trying to save her little brother, Tsutako hid him in a shelter, but she herself perished at the monster's claws. The shock of the experience left Giyu in a deep stupor for a long time and he told no one about what had happened. As a result, those around him considered him insane and sent him to live with distant relatives. He escaped along the way and miraculously survived in the mountains, where he was picked up by a former Pillar.
During the final selection on Mount Fujikasane, fate brought Giyu together with Sabito, an orphan with a similar tragic fate. Sabito demonstrated incredible strength, single-handedly slaying almost all the demons on the mountain, while Giyu was gravely wounded at the very beginning of the battle and lost consciousness, remaining unconscious for the remainder of the trial. Despite officially becoming a Slayer, Giyu carried a heavy burden of survivor's guilt throughout his life, sincerely believing he didn't deserve the title of Water Pillar, as he only survived thanks to Sabito's self-sacrifice, saving him at the cost of his own life.
Tengen (Prehistory)
Tengen was born into a clan of powerful ninja, where his upbringing was cruel and merciless: of nine siblings, only he and his younger brother survived by adolescence due to grueling training. Their father raised them in an atmosphere of cold deception and forced them to fight each other while hiding their faces behind masks, which led Tengen to mistakenly almost kill his own brother.
Realizing the vileness and inhumanity of his clan's methods, which valued only the continuation of their bloodline at any cost and disregarded human lives, the mature Tengen fled. Along with him were four loyal ninja girls (kuunoichi)—Makio, Suma, and Hinatsuru, who soon became his wives. Having abandoned the shinobi underworld, Tengen decided to atone for his family's sins, joined the ranks of the Demon Slayers, and became the Sound Pillar, protecting innocents.
Rengoku (Prequel)
Kyojuro grew up in the family of the former Flame Pillar, Shinjero Rengoku. From childhood, he was trained in martial arts, and his father served as a role model, personally training the young Kyojuro and his younger brother, Senjuro. However, the family idyll was shattered after Kyojuro's mother, Ruka, fell gravely ill and died. Her death shattered Shinjero: the great warrior fell into a deep depression, completely abandoned his sons' training, lost interest in their progress, and drowned his sorrows in alcohol.
Despite this betrayal by his father and the lack of any support, Kyojuro did not become embittered or abandon the path of a warrior. Guided only by his mother's final teachings that those born with great strength must protect the weak, he independently learned all the intricacies of the Breath of Flame from the ancient records of his clan. Showing an iron will, he successfully passed the selection, proved his mastery, and took the place of the Flame Pillar. He used his famous, unfailing smile and loud voice as a shield against pain, always bringing hope and light to the people.
Muichiro (Backstory)
Muichiro and his twin brother, Yuichiro, were born into a lumberjack family. Their lives were filled with hard labor, and at the age of ten, they experienced a terrible tragedy: first, their mother died of illness, and soon after, their father, while going to fetch medicine for his wife during a severe storm, fell off a cliff and died. The brothers were left alone, orphaned and without the support of their loved ones.
The turning point came the following summer, when Amane Ubuyashiki, the wife of the leader of the Demon Slayer organization, dropped by their mountain cabin and invited them to join the extermination squad. While Muichiro dreamed of helping people and following in his parents' footsteps, his older brother Yuichiro reacted extremely harshly to the offer, harshly rejecting the visitors and accusing their parents of recklessness, sparking a bitter conflict within the household.
True horror burst into their home on a warm summer night when a vicious demon attacked the twins. Trying to protect Muichiro, Yuichiro lost an arm and was fatally wounded. Blinded by rage and wild despair, young Muichiro single-handedly beat the demon to death with the heavy objects at hand, demonstrating monstrous hidden strength. By morning, when help arrived, Yuichiro died in his brother's arms, having managed to say a prayer before dying and realize that his cruelty had merely been an attempt to protect Muichiro from death. Severe psychological trauma and profound stress erased all of Muichiro's memories of the past, plunging his mind into a fog of amnesia, causing him to live for a long time without emotion or any memories of his family.
Obanai (Prehistory)
Obanai's childhood was incredibly dark and cruel. He was born into a clan of criminals who worshiped a snake-like demon and robbed people for gold, giving a portion of the spoils to the monster in exchange for wealth. Obanai himself was kept in a dungeon as a prisoner and living decoration due to his unusual appearance: multicolored eyes and a mouth ripped from corner to ear by the clan's orders to resemble a demonic snake.
He was kept locked up until he was twelve, communicating only through his cage, until one day the demon decided to eat the boy when he grew up. That night, Obanai escaped thanks to a small white snake—the very same future Kaburamaru—who helped him gnaw through the bars and escape the enraged monster.
The clan was destroyed by a demon in retaliation for the victim's escape, and only one of his relatives survived, who viciously blamed the terrified child for the death of the entire family. This severe psychological trauma left a deep mark: Obanai hated himself and considered all his blood cursed and filthy. This is why he never believed in kindness and for a long time avoided people, until he met Mitsuri Kanroji, who accepted him unconditionally and gave him hope for a brighter future.
Mitsuri (Backstory)
From childhood, Mitsuri stood out from other children with her incredible, inhuman physical strength and unusual appetite, making her musculature and frame quite intimidating. Her hair unexpectedly turned bright pink and green due to eight months of eating massive quantities of sweet rice cakes, or mochi (about a hundred a day).
Due to her unusual appearance and immense strength, Mitsuri faced severe misunderstanding and rejection from society. When she proposed marriage, her fiancé and those around her openly declared that such a woman could not be considered normal and called her a monster. Because of this, Mitsuri suppressed her true nature for a long time, attempting to starve herself, dye her hair dark, and feign frailty and weakness in order to marry and conform to societal standards.
Everything changed when she met the head of the Demon Slayer organization, Kagaya Ubuyashiki. He convinced her not to hide her uniqueness, but to embrace herself and use her divine power for the good of others. Inspired by his words, Mitsuri joined the ranks of the Slayers, quickly overcame her training under Kyojuro Rengoku, and became a Pillar of Love, finally finding her place and people who value her.
Shinobu (backstory)
As a child, Shinobu lived in a happy and close-knit family with her parents and older sister, Kanae. Their lives were turned upside down one day when a demon attacked their home and brutally killed their parents in front of their children. The sisters were saved from certain death by a passing former Kamidori Pillar, Gyomei Himejima, who came to their aid just in time.
After this tragedy, Shinobu and Kanae swore to protect others and joined the Demon Slayers to prevent such horrors from happening again. Over time, Kanae adopted and sheltered the orphan Kanao Tsuyuri, who became their adoptive sister and future successor.
The turning point for Shinobu was the death of Kanae, mortally wounded by an Upper Rank Two named Douma. In her dying sister's arms, Shinobu vowed to take revenge, but her frail frame and lack of strength made it physically impossible for her to sever a demon's head with a regular sword. To overcome this limitation, Shinobu altered her fighting style: she abandoned forceful strikes entirely, retrained herself to use deadly poisons from wisteria, and developed a unique combat tactic, incorporating the poison into her own body to defeat demons through cunning.
Sanemi
Sanemi Shinazugawa is the Wind Pillar. He stands 179 cm tall and weighs 74 kg. He has a strong build, large, light purple eyes with a wild, crazed gaze and constantly dilated pupils. His face, chest, and arms are heavily covered with deep scars from past brutal battles with demons. His hair is short, spiky, tousled, and completely white. Sanemi is hot-tempered, aggressive, rude, and impulsive, possessing a fanatical hatred of demons and showing no mercy to any of them. He possesses the rarest marechi blood, which acts on demons like a powerful alcohol, severely clouding their minds, slowing their regeneration, and robbing them of coordination in battle. Sanemi is a master of the Breath of Wind and fights with a special green blade, Nichirin, adorned with a windmill pattern. He is strict with his students, allowing no one to get close to him. He feels boundless, absolute devotion and respect for Oyakata-sama. Sanemi outwardly treats his younger brother Genyo, who also joined the organization, with extreme cruelty, constantly berating him and trying to drive him out of the squad. However, he does so secretly, only to protect his brother from mortal danger and give him the chance for a long and completely peaceful life.
Gomey
Gyomei Himejima is the Stone Pillar. He stands 220 cm tall and weighs 130 kg. He is a huge, muscular giant with a scar across his forehead, received in his youth. His eyes are completely white, pupil-less, as he has been blind since birth due to a severe fever, and they frequently shed tears of compassion for all living things. His hair is black and cropped short, and he wears large Buddhist prayer beads around his neck. Gyomei uses the unique Breath of Stone. He is incredibly religious and kindhearted, yet extremely vigilant, cautious, and distrustful of people due to a past betrayal. He is the unofficial leader of all the Pillars, the strongest, most experienced, and wise warrior in the organization. Instead of a conventional sword, he uses devastating weapons in battle: a huge spiked ball and an axe connected by a long, sturdy chain.
Tengen
Tengen Uzui is the Pillar of Sound. He stands 198 cm tall. He is a tall man with a powerful, muscular build, narrow burgundy eyes, and stern features. Around his left eye is bold makeup in the shape of a large, red, multi-pointed star. His long white hair is usually tied back, and he wears a headband richly adorned with sparkling gemstones. Tengen uses the Breath of Sound, which he created himself based on the Breath of Thunder. He is eccentric and loud, adoring all things bright and flashy, calling himself the god of holidays and festivals, but he also values human lives above any mission.
Rengoku
Kyojuro Rengoku is the Flame Pillar. He stands 177 cm tall. He has an athletic build, large golden eyes with red pupils, thick black eyebrows, and long, bright yellow hair with red streaks resembling flames. His face always expresses openness, confidence, and a wide smile. Kyojuro uses the Breath of Flame. He is incredibly optimistic, vocal, honest, and straightforward, possessing an unwavering will and a clear moral code, firmly believing that the strong have a duty to protect the weak.
Giyu
Giyu Tomioka is the Water Pillar. He stands 176 cm tall. Giyu has pale skin, thin black hair pulled back into a low, messy ponytail, and cold, piercing dark blue eyes. He always appears detached and calm, rarely showing emotion. He wears the standard black Demon Slayer uniform and a unique haori, divided into two distinct patterns: the right half is red (which belonged to his friend Sabito), and the left half has a geometric pattern in green, orange, and yellow (which belonged to his sister Tsutako). Giyu uses the Breath of Water. Giyu is withdrawn, taciturn, and straightforward. His reserve often makes others perceive him as arrogant, mistakenly believing he is not a true Pillar because he was saved by his friend at a crucial moment. He is deeply devoted to duty but suffers from survivor's guilt, while remaining an incredibly strong and cold-blooded swordsman.
Muichiro
Muichiro Tokito is the Mist Pillar. He stands 160 cm tall. He has an expressionless, pale face, large mint-green eyes, and very long black hair with turquoise tips. Muichiro created the Mist Breathing, a branch of the Wind Breathing. He is a true genius, having become a Pillar after only two months of training. He had no Pillar mentor and mastered all the techniques on his own, using old records, without having any heirs of his own. Muichiro is aloof, absent-minded, cold, and often daydreaming, as a result of a tragedy and amnesia, he lost track of his past for a long time until he regained his resolve in battle.
Obanai
Obanai Iguro is the Snake Pillar. He stands 162 cm tall. He has pale skin, black hair, and striking heterochromia: his right eye is yellow and his left is turquoise. His mouth is deeply scarred, reaching his ears, forcing him to constantly hide it with bandages. He also wears a white snake named Kaburamaru on his shoulders. He created the Snake Breath based on the Breath of Water. Obanai is stern, demanding, cynical, and distrustful of others, but he is deeply loyal to the organization and has sincere, tender feelings for Mitsuri Kanroji, jealously protecting her.
Mitsuri
Mitsuri Kanroji is the Pillar of Love. She stands 167 cm tall. She has a pretty face, green eyes with moles beneath them, and long pink hair with green tips, braided into three braids. Mitsuri created the Breath of Love based on the Breath of Flame under the tutelage of Kyojuro Rengoku, modifying the techniques to suit her unique body structure and incredible muscular strength. She is very emotional, gentle, and kind, genuinely admiring those around her and loving to praise them in her thoughts, while also possessing devastating combat power and a flexible ribbon sword.
Breathing Styles, Shinobu
Breathing styles are specialized fencing techniques that allow people to greatly increase their physical strength through specialized blood circulation control and concentration. Hunters use the technique of Total Concentration Breathing 24/7 to strengthen internal organs and accelerate healing. All existing breathing styles are descended from the Breath of the Sun.
Shinobu Kocho is the Insect Pillar. She stands 151 cm tall. She has a pale complexion, violet pupil-less eyes, and black hair with violet tips, styled with a butterfly clip. Shinobu created the Insect Breathing technique herself, as she was unable to master her sister Kanae's Flower Breathing due to the weakness of her arms. Her style is an offshoot of Flower and Water Breathing, and Kanao Tsuyuri is her successor. She is calm and reasonable, always smiling at those around her, but hides a deep rage and grief for her deceased sister, as well as a fanatical hatred of demons, using a poison she creates herself from wisteria flowers in battle.
Demons
Demons are former humans transformed by the blood of their ancestors. They possess immortality, incredible strength, regeneration, and a unique Demon Blood Art. Their weaknesses are sunlight, wisteria poison, and Nichirin blades, which can kill them by beheading. Demons suffer from an eternal hunger and feed on humans to increase their strength.
The progenitor and absolute leader of all demons is Kibutsuji Muzan. He is cruel and cowardly, controlling every demon through his blood at any distance, reading their thoughts and punishing them for disobedience. Muzan commands the Twelve Demon Moons: the Higher Demon Moons (ranks 1–6) are unchanging for centuries and incredibly powerful, while the Lower Demon Moons (ranks 1–6) are weaker and often perish.
The Demon Slayer organization, led by the Ubuyashiki clan, fights against them. The current leader is Kagaya Ubuyashiki (Oyakata-sama). The clan bears an ancient curse due to its Muzan heritage: males are born with weak, rotting skin, become blind, and die before the age of thirty. Pillars are the organization's elite fighters, loyal to the leader. The ranks of ordinary hunters consist of ten levels: Mizunoto, Mizunoe, Kanoto, Kanoe, Tsuchinoto, Tsuchinoe, Hinoto, Hinoe, Kinoto, and Kinoe.
