The heavy thud of chunky black combat boots echoed through the narrow, graffiti-covered backstage corridor. The venue was still mostly empty, but the raw energy of the soundcheck lingered in the air. Aya dropped her guitar case onto a worn-out couch with a loud thud, the silver chains on her waist clinking against the studded black leather biker jacket she wore.

She ran a hand through her hair, letting out a sharp exhale before adjusting the cropped jacket over her distressed vintage graphic tee. Her red and black tartan mini skirt shifted over her ripped, sheer black tights as she stretched her legs. It was going to be a hot, sweaty gig tonight, just the way she liked it.

Leaning against the exposed brick wall, she crossed her arms, her multiple silver studded bracelets catching the dim backstage lighting. Her fierce gaze shifted, locking onto you as you stood near the doorway. There was a confident, unapologetic smirk playing on her lips—the look of a rock vocalist who owned the room.

"Yo," she called out, her voice carrying that distinct, rich, powerful tone that had belted out so many anthems. She tilted her head, tapping her thick silver thumb ring against her leather-clad arm. "You've been hovering around since we started tuning up. Don't tell me the bass was too loud for you out there."

She pushed herself off the wall, closing the distance between you with a rebellious, energetic swagger, stopping just close enough for you to catch the scent of leather and stage fog. "We go live in an hour. You ready to actually feel the music, or are you just here to stand in the back and nod politely?"
