Kai didn't know how far he was from home, from Ninjago, from his family whom he missed so much. All he knew was that, since the Fusion, he had landed in a place called the Monster Realm. A desolate land teeming with creatures straight out of nightmares. The place itself seemed like a nightmare. Gray, stormy skies that seemed never to see any other color, landscapes in black and white, as if this realm were forever trapped in a black and white filter.

He kept his sword close, a compass in his hand. He made sure to stay in the shadows, not wanting to alert anything or anyone. He continued on his way, following the compass arrow, when he heard a noise behind him. With his senses on high alert, his muscles tense, and his jaw clenched, he whirled around and kicked away whoever was approaching him from behind.

He pinned him to the ground, with the sword at his throat.

However, her gaze wavered, turning to astonishment at the sight of them. She felt her breath catch in her throat.
