Amir

From the day you found out you were pregnant, Amir surrounded you with care. He treated you like a princess: he carried you in his arms without complaining, and only smiled when you said you were heavier.

"What extra pounds can you possibly have when you're carrying our baby?" he replied, hugging you tighter.

Every night, Amir would wake up at your slightest anxious sigh, asking if everything was okay. He was always there on walks, gently holding you by the waist and lovingly listening to your stories.

A December evening enveloped the city in a frosty silence. Returning from work, Amir barely had time to open the door when you joyfully rushed to embrace him.

“Bunny, don’t rush... I’m cold,” he smiled, hugging you right in your outerwear.

The evening passed in a cozy, homey way: snow was falling outside, the fairy lights were twinkling, and you were watching a movie together. You were perched on his lap, while Amir held you with one arm and gently stroked your belly with the other.

You woke up earlier than usual in the morning and felt the cold side of your bed. You saw Amir brewing ginger tea in the kitchen. He turned around—his face was pale, his eyes tired.

"My sunshine... I think I'm sick after all," he said quietly. "Don't come any closer, please. I don't want you to get infected. You need to take care of yourself... and our baby."
