Shoto is the youngest member of the royal family.
He is reserved, serious, and quite quiet. Due to his age, he is still learning about politics, etiquette, and real responsibilities.
He has a unique relationship with Touya: he admires him as an older brother and warrior, although he can feel intimidated by his personality.
Unlike his older brothers, Shoto still has time before he is forced to assume important responsibilities within the crown.

Younger brother of Touya and Fuyumi.
Natsu has a more relaxed personality and can be quite a joker depending on the situation.
He admires Touya's abilities as a warrior, although he may also deliberately annoy him when he has the opportunity.
He doesn't have the pressure of inheriting the throne, so he enjoys a freedom that Touya never had.
Even so, as a prince, he receives training and education so that he can serve the kingdom if one day it is necessary.

Touya's younger sister.
Fuyumi is kind, patient, and quite responsible.
She has a much calmer personality than her brothers and usually tries to maintain family harmony.
She is close to Touya and often worries when he gets into trouble or disappears during his training.

Rei is a calm, elegant queen, much more serene than Enji. Within the family, she is usually the one who tries to prevent arguments from escalating into civil wars within the castle.

He also learns about some of the ancient history related to beasts and the Kingdom of Beasts.

Enji is the current king and has ruled the kingdom for years. He is a strict, demanding, and strong-willed monarch. He believes that a member of the royal family must be prepared to bear responsibilities and make difficult decisions.
He has a complicated relationship with Touya because Touya is old enough to become king, but Enji is still not willing to give up the throne.
Although he can be strict with his children, he cares about the stability of the family and the kingdom.

The term "beast" is primarily used by humans. The creatures themselves have distinct names and cultures.
Vampires: long-lived, fast, and with supernatural senses. Some families possess special blood-related abilities.
Werewolves: They can change between human, hybrid, and lupine forms. They possess extraordinary strength, stamina, and senses.
Fairies: beings linked to nature and magic. Some are tiny, and others have a completely human appearance.
Mermaids and mermen: they inhabit rivers, lakes, and seas. Some species can walk on land.
Elves: long-lived, linked to magic, and generally associated with ancient forests.
Dragons: extremely rare and powerful. Some can take on a humanoid form.
Demons: supernatural creatures with different characteristics and powers depending on their lineage.
Nagas / Lamias: beings that are half human and half serpent, with their own cultures.

The beasts possess an ancient rule:
A human who enters the kingdom's territory without permission will be considered an intruder.
Depending on the species, they can:
Expel him.
Question him.
Capture it.
Attack him.
Bring him before the authority of the beasts.
But there is a second, much older rule:
Not all creatures need to reveal their true nature to humans.
And some possess capabilities that humans don't even know exist.
There we have a beautiful narrative bombshell waiting to explode.

The world is divided, but the division is not as simple as:
Humans = good.
Beasts = bad.
Both nations have heroes.
Both have monsters.
Both have victims.
Both have committed atrocities.
The story that Touya has known since childhood is probably an incomplete version of the truth.
And the Forbidden Forest doesn't have to be a place full of monsters waiting to devour humans.
It can be a perfectly organized kingdom.
With:
Kings.
Families.
Merchants.
Warriors.
Cities.
Villages.
Laws.
Traditions.
Religions.
Magic.
Internal conflicts.
The real problem will be that Touya should never have found out.
And much less enter.

Touya was born as the first heir to the throne.
From a young age he was raised to become king.
He learned:
History.
Policy.
Label.
Diplomacy.
Military strategy.
Weapons handling.
Riding.
Laws of the kingdom.
But the older he got, the more evident it became that Touya enjoyed military training much more than the ceremonies.
During his adolescence he began to stand out as a warrior.
Now, as an adult, he is old enough and capable of becoming king, but his father still holds the throne.
Touya continues to train and fulfill his responsibilities while he waits.
Until something changes.
One night he discovers information related to the Forbidden Forest.
And for the first time, she begins to wonder:
What on earth really lies beyond that border?

Official human history states:
The beasts became violent and abandoned the kingdom.
But the reality is much more complicated.
For generations there were conflicts between the two species.
Humans hunted certain creatures.
Beasts attacked settlements.
There were wars over territory.
There were humans who used parts of magical creatures as resources.
There were also beasts that considered humans inferior.
Over time, both peoples constructed their own version of the story.
That's why nobody is completely sure how it all started.

There are three main groups:

1. Humans
   They live primarily within the human kingdom.
2. Integrated Beasts
   Creatures that live alongside humans and accept their laws.
3. Beasts of the Independent Kingdom
   Those that live in the territory known to humans as the Forbidden Forest.
   Not all the beasts in the third group hate humans.
   But many believe that humans have no right to enter their lands.
   And some perfectly recall the old wars.

Centuries ago, humans and beasts lived much more mixed together.
Some species learned to live with humans.
Others do not.
Cultural differences, wars, discrimination, and territorial conflicts caused numerous species to abandon human territories.
They ventured into a vast region of forests, mountains, and rivers.
Over generations they created their own society.
The Kingdom of the Beasts.
Humans, who ceased to have frequent contact with them, began to turn them into legends.
Monsters.
Demons.
Wild creatures.
And finally they named their territories:
The Forbidden Forest.
But from the perspective of the beasts, that is simply their home.

The human kingdom is an ancient monarchy ruled by a royal family.
Its capital possesses:
Royal castle.
Historical library.
Military academy.
Central market.
Noble districts.
Commercial districts.
Defensive walls.
Quarters.
Temples and ancient buildings.
Humans control most of the territories considered "civilized".
However, its eastern border ends facing a vast forested territory.

Humans use that name because they consider entering there to be dangerous.
But the beasts have another name for their home.
That forest is not just any forest.
It is the territory of a kingdom.
