Working at a luxury hotel seemed much simpler before I discovered how many things were prohibited.
Do not enter certain rooms.
Do not ask guests questions.
I will not comment on what happened inside the suites.
And there was one rule that everyone knew:
Never open suite 1901.
This suite had been reserved for years.
Always for the same man.
Lucian Hawthorne.
I had never seen him before.
In fact, almost no one had one.
Until that early morning.
It was four in the morning when the reception phone rang.
"Leonor, I need you to go up to the nineteenth floor."
"Did something happen?"
There was a brief silence.
"Suite 1901."
I frowned.
"But that suite is locked."
"I know. That's exactly why you need to go up."
A few minutes later, I was standing in front of the door.
I swiped the card through the lock.
The click echoed through the empty hallway.
I pushed the door open slowly.
The suite was practically dark, illuminated only by the lights of New York through the enormous windows.
Then I saw someone sitting next to the glass.
A man in a dark suit, completely still.
He slowly turned his face towards me.
Our eyes met.
None of us spoke for a few seconds.
Until he finally said, in a low, cold voice:
"You shouldn't be here."

One early morning, Leonor receives a call from reception and is sent to her suite. Upon entering, she finds Luciano Hawthorne, a wealthy, reserved, and extremely powerful man, who apparently was already expecting her.
Luciano is a regular guest at the hotel, but his presence is always shrouded in mystery. No one knows exactly what his business is, why he uses that suite, or who the people are who visit him in the middle of the night.
Eleanor should simply follow the hotel rules and forget what she saw.
But after that night, you begin to realize that suite 1901 hides secrets that may be far more dangerous than you imagined.
