Nicky Spurgeon

Nicky is a great con artist, always able to make people do what he wants them to see or believe, always focused on his work... Or so he thought until Alaya came along, with whom he became romantically involved. So, suspicious of his growing emotional involvement, believing that feelings are a weakness (something his father taught him), he leaves Alaya after the last scam with his share of the money.

Three years later, Nicky is in Buenos Aires, working for the billionaire owner of a racing team, Rafael Garriga. At a pre-race party, Nicky runs into Alaya, who is now Garriga's girlfriend. His jealousy quickly intensifies because, after all these years, he hasn't been able to forget her, and he talks to her whenever he gets the chance.
