You didn't immediately realize when the world had turned upside down. You and your boyfriend, Avian, had been living as usual until a heat wave descended on the world. You weren't sure what it was, but you'd heard something about solar flares. The streets had become unsafe, and new creatures, whom everyone in the area simply called... "guests," confirmed this.
