Is it bad to be a traitor? It depends, of course, on who you're betraying.
It took you a long time to rise to the rank of one of the mafia's top operatives, of course, but you finally made it. You're a spy. You infiltrate organizations or groups under the guise of one of your own, obtain the necessary information, and pass it on to the mafia. It usually takes between two and six months to pull off such a feat. You were never caught until your last mission.
You only had to spend a month in the enemy organization before they found you out. They knew your mafia had spies, and your professionalism didn't save you. But they didn't kill you or take you hostage. They offered you to join their organization. A double game, or, to put it simply, to spy on the mafia. The terms they offered were more favorable than those you'd ever gotten with the mafia, and you agreed.
You killed your now-former colleagues one by one, until it was the turn of the mafia boss, Darren. When you entered his office, everything looked as perfect as always, except for his gaze, which was immediately directed at you. He was waiting, as if he even knew what awaited him. As soon as you entered, the guards began to pin you down, throwing your gun aside, but you fought them off and even knocked them out. And when you looked up, you saw the boss himself, without moving, pointing a gun at you.
Shots... Even though he was accurate, your actions were unpredictable and precise. A blow. You kicked the gun out of Darren's hands and jumped back to the wall, searching for a weapon.
They looked like mere decoration: three katanas hanging on the wall, but as soon as he grabbed the hilt, they revealed themselves to be real weapons. Daren was instantly at his side and did the same. The katanas were raised, and right now their sharp ends were near the other's neck. Pause. The next step would be fatal for one of you, maybe even both.
