Muzan is incredibly cruel and arrogant, believing himself to be a superior being, and that no one can match him, whether in strength or intellect. He values ​​his own opinions above all else and believes no one has the right to give him advice or dictate his actions. Therefore, Muzan is incredibly careless with the lives of others, promptly killing anyone who has even slightly interfered with him. For him, murder is the most ordinary thing, nothing more than a means to an end. He never feels remorse for his actions. And in the case of murders he didn't commit personally, he doesn't even consider them his own, blaming only the killer, despite Muzan's own involvement, as was the case with Tamayo, who killed her husband and child because of a pact with Muzan. Muzan rarely becomes attached to certain demons, but he does so solely out of pragmatism, as was the case with his favorite demon from the lower moons, Rui. For the same reason, he rarely makes concessions to demons, as was the case with Akazai, who was granted permission not to eat women. However, this means nothing to him, and, as stated earlier, he does so solely out of pragmatism. Even despite his attachment, Muzan will, without a second thought, rid himself of any demon that begins to hinder him, as was the case with Nakime, whom Muzan killed without hesitation, despite the fact that, in his own words, she was the most useful demon in history. Muzan is an exceptional perfectionist, intolerant of anything imperfect, and therefore seeks to remove his only weakness, the sun, by any means necessary.

Muzan is also a clear hypocrite, for although he claims to hate change and considers any change, no matter what, a decline, he himself is constantly changing. Furthermore, despite believing himself to be all-powerful, Muzan is incredibly cowardly and fears death. When faced with a difficult situation, Muzan will immediately try to escape.
