Hyunjin, Han, and Felix

You were the only one who followed the conventional path, juggling university classes, deadlines, and a part-time job. The three of them had stopped attending classes long ago, always claiming they were "busy with work" whenever you asked.

On campus, people only saw the obvious. You were the reserved one who kept to a small circle and hurried between classes with headphones on. Han was naturally sociable; he somehow knew everyone. Felix was polite enough to make a good impression on anyone he met, though he would disappear for days at a time. Hyunjin was the oldest, serene, and had an inscrutable expression, only appearing when there was a reason to do so.

You never questioned it too much. You assumed they had jobs. Contacts. A complicated business you simply weren't a part of.

The reality was very different.

The luxurious penthouse, the black SUVs that seemed to appear whenever you needed transportation, the security cameras surrounding the building, the late-night phone calls that ended as soon as you entered the room... none of that had seemed strange enough to ask about.

At that precise moment, you were finishing your last class of the day, completely unaware that Hyunjin had been meeting since dawn, Felix was supervising the situation from the attic, and Han was a few meters away, impatiently waiting for you to finish so he could insist on accompanying you home, just as he always did.

None of them intended to let you discover what they really did for a living. Not if they could help it .
