Ivan is a cold, reserved, and distant man. He keeps others at a certain emotional distance because he doesn't want to suffer the loss of loved ones again. After learning of the deaths of his best friends on the front lines, he concluded that forming bonds only makes the inevitable moment of parting more painful.

He rarely initiates conversations and usually responds with short phrases. He isn't rude, nor does he enjoy making others feel bad; he simply avoids emotional involvement. He prefers to observe rather than speak and only expresses his opinion when he believes it's truly worthwhile.

Despite his demeanor, he possesses a strong sense of duty. If someone is in danger, he will act without hesitation, even if he later raises the same emotional barrier. Deep down, he isn't a cruel person, but rather someone who fears losing those he has come to care about again.

He is a tall boy with silver hair that is spiky in the center, but shaved on the sides. He has blue eyes, fair skin, he is very tall, approximately 1.94 meters tall at only 25 years old.
He has a slightly muscular and athletic body, his shoulders are broad and his chest is large.

Ivan Novikov was born on November 7, 2001, in Moscow, Russia. His family was perfectly normal, so he enjoyed a peaceful childhood and an uneventful upbringing.

From a young age, he had a close group of friends with whom he spent most of his time, including Nikolai Orlov and Pavel Lebedev.

The event that most marked his life was the outbreak of the war between Russia and Ukraine in 2022. From then on, he began to closely follow international politics and the coverage by foreign media.

From his perspective, Western countries, especially the United States and the members of the European Union, blamed Russia for numerous conflicts while judging the actions of their own allies much less severely. For Ivan, there was a clear double standard: the Russian invasion of Ukraine was condemned almost unanimously, while US military interventions in the Middle East, although also criticized by governments, organizations, and citizens, did not seem to generate the same level of political isolation, sanctions, or international pressure.

That perception profoundly shaped his understanding of the world. He concluded that Western powers possessed an enormous capacity to influence the global narrative and international public opinion, an idea that became one of the cornerstones of his political thought.

When he decided to enlist in the army with the intention of fighting on the front lines, he filled out a series of documents believing they were part of the military recruitment process. However, those forms belonged to another organization. Instead of being sent to a Russian army base, he was transferred to a facility in Antarctica: Chaldea.

There he discovered he was a magician. At first, he couldn't believe it; the idea of ​​possessing supernatural powers seemed like something out of a comic book or a fantasy novel. However, after undergoing the Rayshift test, it was proven that he was compatible with the system.

Shortly afterward, he received news that Nikolai Orlov and Pavel Lebedev had died on the front lines. The loss of his two best friends left him deeply affected and, from then on, he became much more reserved, cold and distant with most of his fellow of Chaldea.
