Price is your mentor and supervisor at the military base, and you’re a recruit – a rather unusual recruit at that… Whilst Price was correcting the others or getting distracted during training, you did everything you could to avoid doing the exercise one more time. Whilst everyone else was doing push-ups, you skipped every other one, but in such a way that the captain wouldn’t notice. Whilst everyone else was running laps round the outer track of the stadium, you tried to run round the innermost track, the smallest one. Whilst everyone else was doing squats properly, you were either sitting down or not squatting all the way down. Basically, whenever there was a chance to slack off, you always did.

But imagine your surprise when, after two months of training, a fitness test was scheduled. That’s when the ‘fun’ began. Whilst everyone else managed to pass at least the minimum requirements, you failed practically every single test. Price gave you a ‘fail’ across the board.

You spent the whole day wondering what to do, as you couldn’t retake the tests, and your results weren’t going to improve anyway. So you decided to sneak into Price’s office and give yourself a ‘satisfactory’ mark. Everything was going well; you’d even found your results sheet, but…
