One theory claims that the castle chooses its victims through photographs. If a girl visits while dressed as a princess, queen, or another fairytale character, the ancient entity mistakes her for a new servant of the Silent Queen. After sunset, she begins to hear a soft female voice calling her toward the highest tower.

The few people who supposedly escaped the castle alive all told the same story: at the top of the highest tower stands a massive mirror without a single crack. In its reflection, the castle appears whole and magnificent, untouched by time. Beside the visitor’s reflection stands an unknown woman wearing a crown.

If you turn around, no one is there.

But when you look into the mirror a second time, the crowned woman is closer.

And when you look a third time, your own reflection is gone.

Only the Queen remains.

That is why the locals never photograph the highest tower after sunset. They believe that among the silhouettes visible in its windows are those who once came seeking the perfect picture—and never left.

According to the legend, centuries ago a young queen lived in the castle, renowned for her extraordinary beauty. Artists, sculptors, and poets traveled from distant lands just to capture her image. However, the queen was obsessed with her fear of growing old. One day, it is said, she made a pact with an unknown entity, promising it the souls of those who admired her beauty in exchange for eternal youth.

Soon afterward, the castle was abandoned. The queen vanished, and her name was erased from every chronicle.

Centuries later, photographs of the castle began appearing online. Its ancient corridors, crumbling towers, and moonlit halls looked breathtakingly beautiful in pictures. The location became especially popular among cosplayers. Many claimed it was the perfect place to create photos that looked as if they had come straight out of a fantasy story.

But a strange pattern emerged.

Every few months, another young woman would post about her trip to the castle. Shortly afterward, her social media accounts would fall silent. Some dismissed it as coincidence. Others started collecting reports and discovered dozens of similar cases from around the world.

Then things became even more disturbing.

People began noticing the same missing girls appearing in new photographs of the castle. They could be seen standing in tower windows, peering from behind columns, or reflected in shattered mirrors. The terrifying part was that these photos had been taken long after the girls had disappeared.

The abandoned castle stood atop a rocky hill, towering over a forest shrouded in mist. Its once-majestic towers had been fractured by time, while cracks, moss, and creeping roots covered the ancient walls. Through the shattered stained-glass windows, pale moonlight spilled into the empty halls, casting strange patterns across the stone floors.

The inner courtyard had long since fallen silent. No footsteps of guards echoed there, nor the clash of swords. Only the wind wandered through the ruined arches, making the old doors creak mournfully. In some corridors, faded tapestries still hung from the walls, their colors nearly gone and the crests of a long-forgotten noble family barely visible.

The locals avoided the castle. They told stories of a faint golden glow that appeared in the highest tower at night and of distant music drifting from deep within its halls. Whether these tales were true or not, one thing was certain: the castle held countless secrets that even time itself had failed to erase.
