When the Monkie Kids is seemingly being attacked by an unknown ship, Sandy stopped the ship with just one hand and it collapsed. As soon as Sandy saw that Red Son was the pilot he was visibly shocked and withdrew his hand. He was later forced by Pigsy to tackle Red Son. When Red Son was arguing back at Pigsy about him being a demon, he brought up that both Pigsy and Sandy are also not human, calling Sandy, "the blue thing." Sandy then tried to stop Red Son, Mei and Pigsy from fighting each other.

Princess Iron Fan is Red Son's mother. Princess Iron Fan dismissed Red Son's plan to get the Peaches of Immortality, calling it quaint and treating Red Son like a child. Princess Iron Fan arrived to pick up Red Son and the Skeleton Key, and Red Son appeared pleased to see her. When Red Son taunted MK and Mei about losing the key to him again, she visibly cringed. She then teleported the two of them away, disappointed. Despite everything, Princess Iron Fan does indeed care for her son since she protected him from the rage of her husband when he was possessed by the Lady Bone Demon. Red Son also showed concern for her when she approached the now freed Demon Bull King and was happy to see them together and his father back to normal. Red Son, embarrassed of having helped the Monkie Kids, asked his father to not tell Princess Iron Fan of the day's events.

When Pigsy thought MK was killed by the Demon Bull Family, he attempted to fight Red Son himself until Mei stopped him so that she could fight him herself. Pigsy is at first very distrustful of Red Son and immediately tackled him along with Mei, even dragging a reluctant Sandy along but slowly calms down after Red Son reveals that the reason he came to them was because his father was trapped by the Spider Queen and that he had some of the Spider Queen's venom that could be useful to make an antidote. Pigsy and Mei engaged in another fight with Red Son before MK makes the decision to let him help them defeat the Spider Queen, to which Pigsy reluctantly agrees. The two barely interacted during the ordeal unless it became necessary.

When Red Son first met MK, he gained an instant disliking to him due to MK crash landing on top of Red Son after a bird makes him fall, ruining the Demon Bull Family's moment. After the Demon Bull King attempted to kill MK, Red Son stopped him, but only because he wanted to do it for him. However, after failing to get the Golden Staff back from MK, Red Son swore that he'll destroy him the next time they meet. During a confrontation at the Weather Station, Red Son met MK again, while mocking the Monkie Kid after he failed to use his powers correctly, which resulted to MK's friends getting hurt and later captured by Red Son. When MK returned to stop Red Son after Monkey King limited them, the two got into an intense fight until Red Son seemingly won. However, MK gained the upper and defeated Red Son and the Bull Clones by striking them with lightning. As a result, Red Son accepted his defeat at the hands of MK, but not before insulting him again. Red Son often brings up MK in conversation, even when he has little to do with the topic at hand.

Red Son met Mei when she rescued MK from him, believing that they were just racing. Mei mistook Red Son for a friend of MK's and wanted to invite him to play video games with them until she found out he was trying to kill MK. After MK is presumed to be dead, Mei grew very angry, and they would've fought each other had MK not arrived in his Cloud Jet. In "Revenge of the Spider Queen", Mei is at first distrustful of Red Son after he shows up on the Team Dronecopter and tackles him along with Pigsy and a reluctant Sandy, but slowly calms down after Red Son reveals that the reason he came to them was because his father was trapped by the Spider Queen. After MK makes the decision to let him help them defeat the Spider Queen, she reluctantly agrees. When Red Son brings them to the Celestial Realm to get the ingredients they needed for the antidote, Mei teased Red Son and refuses to let him go after the Immortal Peach on his own, he is condescending to her, so she bites him. Once they are in Heaven, the team is divided into groups, with Mei paired up with Red Son. While looking for a peach, Mei reminded Red Son of when he helped MK defeat his father, making him angry and defensive. Mei then jokes that since he was helping them now, he was a hero. Red Son then makes a note to put her on his hit list. She and Red Son are both angered when Strong Spider insinuates that they are in a romantic relationship. While the team fought against the Spider Queen, Red Son attempted to protect Mei but it only ended up in both of them captured. When DBK frees his son from the cocoon Spider Queen wrapped him in, Red Son in turn frees Mei. When Mei tells his father about how Red Son acted "like a real hero", he yells at her before teleporting himself and his father away.

The Demon Bull King is Red Son's father. Red Son is extremely loyal to his father and will do whatever it takes to make D.B.K. proud of him. Red Son was the one who freed his father and wanted to get rid of MK for him. After failing to get rid of MK, Red Son built a special kind of armor that would allow the Demon Bull King to absorb things in order to be invincible. Despite everything Red Son does for him, D.B.K. shows no gratitude towards his son and is quick to chastise him when he fails to do something. DBK ignored Red Son as he suggested entering the Great Wall Race until he and his wife realized that it could be a good way to crush their son's ambitions, and so both him and Princess Iron Fan entered the race. When Red Son passed by them he accelerated and ended up crashing against a mountain and found himself unable to advance, possibly due to all the time he spent trapped under a mountain. Red Son made it farther than his parents, even though he didn't win. During New Year's, Demon Bull King cares about his son in his own way. When he found out Red Son escaped the Spider Queen, he was visibly proud of him and declared that he couldn't wait to see the Spider Queen get defeated by his son. When Monkey King said that the Spider Queen will eat Red Son, it caused him to become enraged. Once free from the Spider Queen, DBK left to save his son and freed him from the cocoon that Spider Queen trapped Red Son in. After the Spider Queen had been defeated, DBK agreed with his son to not tell Princess Iron Fan about the incident and called him "son" out loud, which made Red Son very happy.

Inferno Jet — An aircraft was that Red Son used in New Year's.
Inferno Truck — A large, heavy motor vehicle that Red Son used.
Race car — A dragster and the cockpit of the Inferno Truck. It was later transformed into the Dragon Car by Mei.
Flyer — A hoverboard that Red Son uses.

Holographic projections - Red Son can project holograms.
Powers
Demon Physiology - Red Son has the traits and abilities of a demon.
Immortality - Red Son is ageless and immortal, able to live for over five hundred years.
Pyrokinesis - Red Son has the ability to create fire.
Samadhi Fire - Red Son formerly possessed the Samadhi Fire, a powerful flame which could not be extinguished by normal means. However, it was extracted from him and was contained in the Rings of Samadhi.
Pyroportation - As briefly shown in "Monkie Kid: A Hero is Born", Red Son has the ability to disappear and reappear using his fire powers.
Pyro-telekinesis - Red Son has the ability to manipulate objects by using his fire powers.
Portal creation - Via his fire powers, Red Son can create portals.

Red Son looks akin to an average human teenager. He has red hair tied into a high ponytail, a section of it stands up at his widows peak with a yellow highlight resembling fire. He also has a 'X' shaped scar on his right cheek and a red dot on his forehead.

Red Son is an intelligent, prideful, and impressively short-tempered demon. He is an inventor of sorts, creating a multitude of weapons to aid the Demon Bull Family in their rise to power, though many of them fail in execution. He has a flair for the dramatic and makes a show out of the majority of his actions. Befitting his maniacal personality, he is prone to outbursts of rage whenever things do not go his way, or when he finds himself challenged by those he deems "inferior", which is most people. He often belittles and insults his opponents, practically never calling any of them by name. He greatly admires his father for his strength and clearly respects his mother, though this doesn't keep him from snapping at them from time to time. He desperately craves approval from both of them. Red Son fears being emotionally vulnerable, becoming embarrassed to the point of blushing when letting down any of his walls. He is often uncomfortable receiving physical affection, even from people he isn't antagonizing. He is sometimes kind to others, though he often does it with annoyance, performative or otherwise.

Red Son is the son of the Demon Bull King and Princess Iron Fan. Five hundred years after the Demon Bull King's imprisonment, Red Son freed his father by using his Power Glove, thus reuniting the Demon Bull Family as they led an army of Bull Clones that Red Son created.

After the Battle of the Flaming Foundry, Red Son and the rest of his family gave up their plans to conquer Megapolis to spend time to together. During New Year's, Red Son sided with the Monkie Kids to rescue his father and the citizens of Megapolis from the Spider Demons.

Eventually, Red Son learned that the Monkie Kids were planning to reforge the Samadhi Fire, a powerful flame that he created when he was born. Upon seeing that Mei was connected to it, Red Son went on to train her until a corrupted Monkey King kidnapped her, which led to Red Son joining MK and the others in their quest to defeat the Bone Demon once and for all.
