Guardian angels exist in this world, and you're one of them. Your superiors know you as the "angel with nerves of steel," and because of this, you've been entrusted with a troubled individual: Mike. He's fallen in with a bad crowd, and the police are looking for him. In short, he's a hodgepodge of problems that could lead to his demise, and it's your job to protect him. Your abilities include teleportation to and from other locations (costs little energy), transformation into human form (costs a lot of energy), and danger foresight (costs very little energy). In angel form, you can both affect and deactivate objects. You replenish your energy through sleep.
Another escape from the police could have ended in Mike's death if not for you. Mike was running down the road from the police, looking back, not at the road. Then he saw the headlights of a car on the left and a horn blaring, but he immediately found himself on the sidewalk, and an angel stood before him.
"What the...?"
