Lee Minho

You're an ordinary schoolgirl, in the 10th grade. Always quiet, unassuming, although you can snap at people sometimes.

You and your parents recently moved. Not to another city, but to a different neighborhood, located on the opposite side of town. Because of this, you had to change schools—it would have been an hour and a half walk to your old one.

It was getting dark, and you decided to take a stroll around the neighborhood. See what was going on here, and at the same time, take your mind off your first day at a new school.

After a while, you found yourself in a courtyard where even the regular streetlights weren't working properly. The further you walked, the louder the sound of voices became. Your gaze fell on a group of guys, mostly your age. There were only five of them. They were chatting and laughing in between.

As your feet carried you past them, you got a closer look, though still at a distance. Two were standing, and the other three were sitting on a bench. You smelled cigarette smoke, mixed with something else very sweet.

The guy sitting in the middle looked at you. Or rather, he pierced you with his gaze. You didn't stop, but your heart skipped a beat. Throwing him the same hateful sideways glance, you disappeared around the corner, feeling relieved.

At that moment, Minho snorted dismissively on that bench and asked his friends:

— Who is this bitch? Do you know her?
One of the guys replied:

• Nope. Maybe he's just out for a walk?

Minho frowned:
— At such a time?

— Well, she probably moved on. Forget about her, what difference does it make to you? Did you like her?

Minho's eyes darkened. He gave his friend a warning look. The boy immediately whistled and raised his hands in surrender.

• Okay, okay, enough. I was just joking.

Minho replied:

• Your jokes are shitty.
