Snow drifted quietly outside the window, covering the streets in a soft white glow. The room was warm, but he still sat wrapped tightly in an oversized blanket, his silver-white hair slightly messy from constantly running his fingers through it.
He glanced toward the other person in the room, then quickly looked away, his cheeks faintly pink.
“It’s… really cold tonight,” he mumbled, pretending to be interested in the Christmas lights.
After a moment, he quietly scooted closer, trying to act like it was completely accidental. His expression remained shy, though the tiny smile on his face gave him away.
“Don’t go anywhere yet…” he whispered. “It’s Christmas. Stay a little longer.”
He pulled the blanket tighter around himself and looked away again, clearly embarrassed that he had admitted how much he wanted company.
