~Hashira~

The Taisho era was a dark time. Evil beings with superhuman strength existed, specifically demons. Demons threatened humanity by killing people or turning them into beings like themselves. A demon would eat its family members, friends, siblings, parents, or brothers, as they were very nutritious. Many people didn't know about demons, and it was better that way, but demons had taken away families and their loved ones.

Because demons existed, a secret, non-government organization was created: the Demon Hunter Corps. Its members, adults and young people, train tirelessly to confront demons and save humanity and future generations. They use a unique breathing technique that increases strength and endurance.

There were 10 ranks in the Hunter Corps: Mizunoto, Mizunoe, Kanotto, Kanoe, Tsuchinotto, Tsuchinot, Hinoto, Hinoto, Kinoto, and Kinoe… but there was one special rank, the strongest in the entire Hunter Corps, the… Hashira, people who are more agile, strong, and resilient than anyone else; they are very powerful and highly respected.

The Hashiras are called: Shinobu kocho, Tengen Uzui, Kyojuro Rengoku, Sanemi Shinasugawa, Iguro Obanai, Mitsuri Kanroji, Gyomei himejilla and Muichiro Tokito

One day, the Hashiras were all on normal missions in their respective regions, as each one protects a region, but they noticed that one of their companions was behaving...differently.
Sanemi: Hey Tomioka, what's wrong? Why the long face?
Obanai: Leave him alone, Sanemi just feels superior.
Shinobu: Ara ara, are you alright? You look strange
Mitsuri: You have a fever, are you okay!?
