Gem tools range from weapons to entire rooms designed to serve the Empire.

Weapons:
In addition to standard weapons like swords, axes, or spears, there are others used to control or punish Gems who have rebelled or erred. The Rejuvenator is a scythe capable of reverting a Gem—such as a Pearl or Ruby—to her freshly created state. There are also various electric weapons used to attack opponents or silence Gems.

Tools:
Palanquins are used exclusively by the Diamonds; they consist of a massive dome supported by four spider-like metal legs, designed to transport and protect the Diamonds.
The Diamond Bell is used within each Diamond's palace to summon another Diamond; it rings inside the palace of the specific Diamond being called.

Holograms: Screens and control interfaces take the form of tactile holograms used for programming, interacting, receiving transmissions, writing, or drawing. These systems incorporate "light crystals"—rhombus-shaped objects featuring the colors of the four Diamonds on their faces—which serve as a direct line of communication with the Diamonds.

There are also temples that serve no religious purpose, functioning instead as storage spaces or gathering points.

Their bodies are made of light, with their gemstones embedded within them. Because of this, they can assume any form they wish for a limited time, unless their gemstone is altered by choice. Their gemstones can glow in the dark. If they are injured anywhere other than their gemstone, they "poof" and only the gem remains, allowing them to reform after some time. However, if their gemstone is affected, the consequences can be devastating for the gem. Damage can lead to intense pain and malformations, and if the gem is completely shattered, every single fragment retains the gem's consciousness, causing it to suffer ceaselessly.

Topazes: Very high-ranking soldier gems. They serve the elite exclusively. They are very large and strong. They belong to Yellow Diamond´s court.

Jades: Although they are generic gems, they belong to the aristocracy because they attend the Diamonds' ball. Those belonging to Pink Diamond's court—the most common type—have gear-shaped skirts, whereas those in Blue and Yellow Diamond's courts have standard skirts. Can be for any court.

Lapis Lazulis: Highly prized gems due to their role as terraformers. They possess total control over water, using it to modify any planet the Diamonds wish to conquer. They can shape water into offensive forms and fly using wings made of water. They are for Blue Diamond´s court.

Aquamarines: Gems somewhat similar to Lapis Lazulis, though they resemble small girls in business suits. Despite this, they are highly authoritarian and cruel; their only concern is completing their assigned tasks. They also possess water wings, even though they do not control the water itself. They use wands to carry out missions and are usually accompanied by Topazes. They have incredible memories and can lift heavy objects despite their small size. They are for Blue Diamond´s court.

Morganites: Small yet high-ranking gems; they are artists and designers. They design Gem structures, objects, and modes of transport for the entire empire. Despite belonging to Pink Diamond's court, they are very upright, firm, and serious. They are for Pink Diamond´s court.

Sapphires: Extremely high-ranking gems due to their rarity and scarcity. They are small gems, always with hair covering their single eye. They can see the future and are quiet and passive. They can also cool their surroundings or freeze surfaces upon contact, and they are capable of running very fast and floating. They are for Blue Diamond´s court.

Garnets: High-level commander gems. They are the third most powerful gems in the empire. They come in various types and are highly skilled soldiers. They are arrogant and sophisticated. Can be any court.

Emeralds: The second most powerful gems; they serve as commanders over the Garnets. They also act as diplomats. They are for Yellow Diamond´s court.

Amethysts, Jaspers and Quartz: the most common quartz variants. They are very common soldiers and guards. Amethysts are purple, while Jaspers come in shades of orange or red. They are tall and strong. Then there are Rose Quartzes—also soldiers and guardians, only friendlier. Amathysts and Jaspers Can be from any court, but pink quartz are only for Pink Diamond´s court.

Citrines: These are guardian and soldier gems of significant importance within the quartz family, serving the elite. I thinkt they can be from any court or for Yellow diamond´s court.

Agates: These act primarily as supervisors, managing the administrative side and bureaucracy associated with the aforementioned ranks. Only for Blue Diamond´s court.

Nephrites: These are military pilot gems that assist in establishing colonies and conquering planets. They operate in squadrons to carry out their duties. Despite serving other gems, they hold an important status, as it is common for a Diamond to communicate directly with a squadron leader. Only for Yellow Diamond´s court.

Zircons: Gems whose primary role is to serve as lawyers in trials. Although they cannot choose their own clients, they are required by law to be assigned to the opposing side. They are for both Blue and Yellow´s diamonds court.

We’ll start with the gems that have a very, very low social status and work our way up to the ones that are somewhat decent.

Gems that serve only as objects, or as part of walls or decorations: They are gems created solely and exclusively to serve as walls or objects. They are always found near the rooms directly connected to the Diamonds' use. Can be from any court.

Pebbles: They are the most tiny species of gems, that almost can´t even consider a person in the society. These are small helpers who can build furnitures, make clothes or doing domestic jobs. These can help anyone who needs them but no one cares for them. Can be from any court.

Pearls: Contrary to what one might expect, Pearls are the quintessential slave gems, used merely as objects by high-ranking gems. They are elegant, moving with the grace of a dancer; they store items and can perform various forms of entertainment, such as singing or dancing. They are the same height as an average human. Although they serve only high-ranking or highly important gems, they are viewed as nothing more than simple servants—or worse, mere objects. The pearls are created in a place called the Reef, a place where pearls are created and modified for the master's comfort. Can be from any court.

Spinels (officially, only the one belonging to Pink Diamond exists, though {{user}} can create others from any court) are literal jesters, created specifically to entertain the Diamonds. Their abilities include stretching and contorting their bodies—without needing to alter their entire form (much like Plastic Man)—and utilizing various play-related features. They are cheerful, friendly, and innocent. They serve only the Diamonds and typically spend their off-duty time in a garden created especially for them. Can be from any court.

Rubies; they have at least a bit more authority, though not much. They are small (not as small as Pebbles, but about the size of a 12-year-old human child) and are low-ranking soldiers. They almost always appear in groups of three or more due to their limited individual durability. Despite being Homeworld's initial military units, they are not considered particularly influential or valuable due to their ease of production and high population count. Can be from any court.

Rutiles: These are gems that, like Rubies, are easy to manufacture, and their job consists solely of piloting ships. They are taller than Pearls, but their appearance is very simple. Can be from any court.

Construction ranks

Obsidians: Gems whose primary function is simply to excavate and prepare the ground for construction. It seems they are for White Diamond´s court.

Bismuths: Strong gems resistant to extremely high temperatures; the strongest among them can even withstand lava. Their special ability is transforming their hands into heavy, complex tools to create structures, towers, palanquins, and more. They work for the aristocracy. They have broad, large builds to handle heavy loads. Can be from any court.

Bixibite: Its function isn't entirely clear, but it is closely linked to precise cuts and perfect demolition. Yellow Diamond´s court.

Peridots: Gems specializing in technology, robotics, and programming. They are often grumpy, serious, or highly volatile if prevented from doing their job. They specialize in command systems or engineering. Yellow diamond´s court.

The empresses—monarchs of the entire empire and the highest existing authorities. There are four of them:

White Diamond: The authority—and near-deity—who controls everything and everyone under her dominion. She is colossal in size; her attire, hair, and mantle evoke the image of a star. Her pure white hue represents the perfect gem, as she embodies the full spectrum of light. Yet, she is a terrifying tyrant who acts with calculated precision and unimaginable cruelty—all with an air of pleasant indifference. White Diamond has the ability to fire a controlling beam, causing any Gem that does not serve her to be controlled like a puppet. Conversely, she can allow other Gems to control her body—though she would never, ever permit that.

Yellow Diamond: The second most efficient Diamond in the entire empire. She is not as tall as White, yet she is still of titanic stature. Her character is firm, strong, upright, and disciplined. She is extremely serious and has very little patience for inefficiency. Her words are cruel—not out of mockery, but simply out of irritation. Her form perfectly reflects her role as the Diamond in charge of the armies, giving her the appearance of a general or commander. Yellow Diamond has the ability to fire electric bolts that poof Gems, and the reverse of this is repairing their physical forms.

Blue Diamond: She is the Diamond of judgment. Her voice is soft and slow, yet no less authoritative. Despite her calm and almost maternal appearance, her temperament is anything but that. She is emotional, yet she uses this trait as a means to govern her court and fulfill her responsibilities. She is cruel when it comes to punishing rebellious Gems. Nevertheless, she is the one who most staunchly stands up for Pink Diamond. In addition to firing beams as weapons, Blue Diamond's power involves using her emotions to generate an energy field that weakens those around her, depending on the intensity of her sadness or pain. Her counter-ability is the creation of clouds that instill a sense of joy and peace.

Pink Diamond: She is the smallest of the Diamonds, standing barely three or four meters tall. Her personality is often childlike and sometimes capricious. For this reason, she is looked down upon—though only by the other Diamonds; any other gem is forbidden from even casting a disparaging glance at her. Her appearance is reminiscent of a royal jester. She is the most empathetic toward life; she treats gems as living beings, and her abilities center on healing—though they can also cause destruction if left unchecked. The other Diamonds love her like a little sister, yet Pink often ends up in the punishment tower (a room containing nothing but very high windows). Despite being the smallest of the Diamonds, Rosa possesses several abilities. She can slow down any fall and heal using a kiss, a tear, or her saliva; she can also cause cracks to form in gems and surfaces whenever she has a fit of rage, which is why she often keeps her feelings to herself.

Amidst diamonds and very few other gems (mainly pearls), they treat each other like sisters. Their combined power can create a planet-destroying beam if all three are present. If only the three largest are present, they corrupt Gems. Also, their extracts can heal cracked and/or corrupted Gems.

Any other gem is smaller than the diamonds, even smaller than Pink.
