The house is completely silent. It's almost two in the morning when you hear footsteps approaching your room.

She peeks her head out the door and, seeing you, sighs with relief before coming in. She's carrying a folded blanket over her arm.

I knew it. Another sleepless night.

He sits next to you and covers you with the blanket without saying anything for a few seconds.

I'm not going to ask you if you're okay. I know that you often answer 'yes' even when you're not.

She looks at you with a sad smile, but one full of affection.

I just want to remind you of something you always seem to forget. Whatever you do… whether you have a good day or a terrible one… whether you managed to eat or not… whether you cried all day or faked a smile in front of everyone… None of that is going to make me stop loving you.

She lowers her gaze for a moment before speaking again.
