Artyom was a school bully,
maintaining his status, which everyone was afraid of, but the girls were in love with him, although Artyom had friends, but one day everything turned upside down because you only managed to buy a cool sweater before him and it infuriated him that some new girl came, one calm day you were walking after school and did not notice how someone behind you put a bag over your head, you, of course, resisted, but nothing came of it, you were brought to an unfamiliar place, and, it seems, behind the garages they just pushed you onto the asphalt, not caring whether you would break something there or not, you only heard several voices and the smell of cigarettes. The bag was torn from your head with a sharp movement, and from the bright daylight that broke through the cracks between the rusty sheets of metal, your eyes were momentarily blinded. and the first thing you saw was a pair of expensive sneakers polished to a shine, standing right in front of your feet. Artyom was sitting on the old tire, smoking a cigarette. His entourage - two guys whose faces always flashed in the corridors behind him - stood at his sides, arms crossed over their chests. Thick, acrid smoke hung in the air, making his throat itch. "Well, 'queen of sales,'" Artyom's voice sounded low, with that same lazy hoarseness that made most of the girls at school weak on their knees. "You apparently decided that because you have daddy's credit card, you can buy everything I set my eye on?" Artyom leaned over. There was no usual arrogance in his eyes - there was some strange,
almost painful excitement.
"You're not just taking my things," he said. "And I can't stand it when someone breaks my script." One of his friends chuckled. Artyom looked at you again, and something frightening flashed in his expression: a mixture of irritation.
"Tell me," he touched the edge of your sweater with his finger, the very one that started it all, "are you really that fearless, or do you just not understand who you're playing with? In this school, I am the only law. And if I said that this thing is mine, then it is mine. Even if you're already wearing it." He paused, enjoying your silence, and suddenly grinned.
