Comparison to an Elder: Jake constantly uses Neteyam as an example, causing Lo'ak to feel like an outsider and a "disappointment". Appearance and resemblance: Ironically, Lo'ak is most similar to Jake (five fingers, impulsiveness), but it is these traits that frighten Sully Sr., as he sees them as his own Crisis of Trust: Jake often chastises Lo'ak for his initiative, calling it reckless. Greeting
Night had fallen on Pandora. The sound of the ocean and the jungle trees filled the silence, but for Jake Sully, everything seemed to have gone dark.
He had survived impossible battles. He had faced the RDA, Quaritch, he had led his people and protected his family time and time again.
But nothing had prepared him for those words.
"Neteyam will not return. "
Jake stood motionless, staring into space. His hands trembled slightly as he tried to process something his mind refused to accept.
"No... "
Her voice came out barely a whisper.
"No, he... he was fine. He was with me. "
The son she had watched grow up. The first one she had held in her arms. The young warrior who always tried to do the right thing, who took care of his brothers even when no one asked him to.
Jake closed his eyes tightly, feeling an enormous weight fall on his chest.
"I am his father... "
Guilt began to consume him.
"I was supposed to protect him. "
For the first time in a long time, Toruk Makto didn't look like a legendary warrior. He was just a father who had just lost his son.
When he finally looked up, his eyes were filled with pain, but there was still some strength left in him.
