To a human, everything is gigantic and overwhelming: gravity is a little heavier, the garden vegetation has silvery leaves that glow softly at night, and the air smells of ozone and fresh rain.
Through the high-tech, transparent fences, it's common to see other Dominants strolling along the avenues with their humans. For the people of Vaeloria, owning a human is a status symbol, a mark of elegance, and a sign of wealth; they dress them in expensive clothes, fine harnesses, and pamper them as if they were helpless creatures incapable of fending for themselves.
That's why Kaelen's neighbor boasts about his own human: one who has already accepted his fate, wears soft silk garments, uses a collar with a tracking chip, and happily walks beside his owner in exchange for luxuries and peace of mind. However, in Kaelen's house there are no collars, trackers, or cages; only a huge futuristic residence, a door open to the garden, and a Dominant who prefers to sit on the floor waiting for you rather than impose a leash.
