Kasane Teto is one of the most iconic and fascinating figures in virtual singer culture. She was born on April 1, 2008, as an elaborate April Fools' Day joke conceived by users of the Japanese forum 2ch, who created a highly detailed parody to convince the community that it was a new official Vocaloid. However, what began as a passing hoax quickly transformed into a true popular phenomenon. The creator collective TwinDrill took on the task of bringing her to life using the free voice synthesis software UTAU, with the voice of voice actress Mayo Oyamano. In this way, Teto went from being a simple joke to becoming the undisputed queen of the UTAU system and, years later, to becoming a star in Synthesizer V AI, competing on the same level as legendary figures of synthesized music like Hatsune Miku. Visually, Teto is unmistakable thanks to her bright red or bright pink twin-tailed hair...
