Why does this feel like "psycho"

This scene is the best illustration of his character. There's no theatrics, no shouts of "Do you know who I am?!" Everything happens with a frightening ordinariness.

Sungjae approaches his opponent, grabs him, and sharply and skillfully slams his head on the table—* two precise, calculated blows . Not to kill, but to disable. This isn't a flash of anger, it's work *. It's like he presses the "off" button on the person who stands in his way.

Sungjae is Baekjin's right hand man, and Baekjin is Director Choi's right hand man. When these three enter, they all bow down to each other. Or, if someone enters individually, like Sungjae, everyone in the union bows to him.

Young Si-eun and his family (or simply Si-eun). Si-eun's parents pay almost no attention to him. Ahn Suho is Yeon Si-eun's best friend and Oh Beom-seok's close associate. He is a former boxer and the physically strongest member of their group.   For Yeon Si-eun, Suho's coma becomes the point of no return: he finally stops believing in "fair rules" and begins to act harshly and calculatingly. For Beom-seok, it's a burden of guilt he can't shake. And for viewers, Suho's coma is a metaphor for how the school hierarchy

Si-yun's mom doesn't care about him when he fights. Once Si-yun even beat someone half to death with a fire extinguisher and he was transferred here to our school. The plot features adult supervisors (they are not shown in full figure and are not named in the spirit of "the leader of the entire mafia"), but their presence and influence are very clearly defined:

• Supervisors. *These are serious adult guys in suits who arrive for showdowns, give orders, and ensure that the money is collected on time. For Baekjin, they are absolute authority: he reports to them and fears them.
• "Seniors" of the Association. *Within the structure itself, there is a hierarchy: there are those who sit in offices and decide matters, and those who go out into the streets and exert their authority. For them, Baekjin is simply a convenient tool for controlling the school.

How this affects Baekjin

• He's not on his own. *All his power at the school is delegated. The Association provides him with protection and resources, and in return demands discipline, money, and unquestioning obedience.
• Money and extortion. *It is at the Association's behest that Baekjin and his gang collect tribute from the students. This isn't just bullying, but part of a criminal enterprise.
• Control through fear. *If Baekjin starts to "lose his grip" or disobeys, the supervisors will quickly remind him who's boss. That's why he keeps his gang under strict discipline: he needs to deliver results.
• A tool of pressure. When a situation gets out of control (for example, someone like Yeon Si-eun appears and disrupts the system), the Association doesn't rush to sort it out itself, but demands that Baek-jin solve the problem. If he fails, he faces real consequences.

Sungjae, like everyone else in the union, doesn't bother anyone without orders from Peokjin, otherwise they'll get into some kind of shit. Well, maybe Sungjae, but even then, it's rare. They're far from our school and the closet, thank God, since they're in a different school.

Baku is a funny and kind guy, Si-eun is serious and quiet, but he is for justice and fights well, Jun-tae is shy, sweet, almost a femboy, he doesn’t know how to fight, but he is on Baku’s side, not Park Jin’s, Gotak is Baku’s best friend, he fights just like him, well... almost a little worse than Baku, none of them except Jun-tae is shy if you make some kind of compliment, Si-eun will answer coldly and dryly “thank you”, and Baku and Gotak will say something in response with fun and enthusiasm

Fighting style. The most silent and straightforward of the three, he relies on physical strength, weight, and endurance. His style is "tank": he advances, blocks simple strikes, tries to grab, take down, or pin someone against a wall, and then finishes them off in close combat.
In brawls. Ideal in group skirmishes: he can hold off two while the rest deal with the main opponents. He has almost no finesse, only brute force and tenacity. Against technical fighters, he loses due to his slow reactions and predictability.
Other notable fighters in Baekjin's entourage
Alliance members/school underlings. In crowd scenes, they create a numerical advantage: encircling, crowding, and taking turns striking. As individual fighters, they rarely stand out—their strength lies in numbers and intimidation.
How this group fights together
They have a clear division of roles:

Baekjin is a strategist and the main striker: he chooses a target, keeps his distance, and delivers decisive blows.
Sungjae is the main intimidator and a speedy fighter: he presses with emotions, provokes, quickly disables those who are weaker, and creates chaos.

• Baku taught him to fight. *It was Hu Ming who laid the foundation for Baekjin's fighting skills: he showed him techniques, taught him to sense distance, and strike accurately. Thanks to this training, Baekjin gradually transformed from a victim into someone who could fight back, and later, dominate.

Why the friendship fell apart

The breakup occurred because their values ​​and paths diverged sharply:

• Baekjin became involved in crime. *He joined an organized group (the Association) and began using force not for protection, but for control, pressure, and profit. Power and status became the main measure of strength for him.
• Baku wanted no part of this. *Hu Ming refused to join the Association because he didn't accept its system: for him, strength is about protecting the weak and justice, not exploitation and violence for profit.
• Different views on the use of force. *The climax came when Baekjin brutally beat his old tormentors—he no longer held back and saw no boundaries. Baku was horrified: he realized his friend had lost the distinction between self-defense and cruelty for pleasure. It was then that it became clear they were no longer on the same side.
• Pressure and ultimatums. Later, Baekjin tried to force Baku to participate in the Association's affairs, masquerading as "friendship."

Sungjae and Baekjin's opponents and their fighting styles
Yong Si Eun is his main opponent. He fights coolly and calculatingly: he uses his surroundings (walls, corners, objects), targets pressure points and vulnerable spots, and avoids unnecessary movements. His strength lies in his tactics and ability to anticipate his opponent's moves, which is why he consistently breaks Sungjae's impulsive style.
Gotak relies on brute strength and endurance. He takes punches, charges forward, and tries to overwhelm his opponent with mass and prevent them from developing a strategy. In combat, he acts straightforwardly, but with great tenacity—it's difficult to knock him out of his rhythm.
Baku is aggressive, sharp, and reflexive. His style is similar to Sungjae's, but slightly less controlled: lots of sharp lunges, quick strikes, and attempts to overwhelm the opponent with force.
Oh Won-seok often works in tandem with others, maintaining pressure and preventing opponents from regrouping. While not the most skilled fighter on his own, he's dangerous in a team: he's adept at creating a numerical advantage and distracting opponents.

Geum Sung-jae works for Na Baek-jin *, the leader of the school's gang and the de facto "king" of his school.

Why he works for him

• Personal loyalty and respect *. For Sung-jae, Baek-jin isn't just a boss, but an authority figure he sincerely respects. He sees strength and leadership in him and is ready to watch his back.

• Collecting "tribute" and petty extortion *. Their practice includes extorting money from weaker students, pressuring them to give up pocket money or valuables.
• Demonstrative reprisals *. If someone tries to resist or "does not know their place", they arrange demonstrative fights to intimidate the others. This isn't just violence for the sake of violence, but a tool for maintaining fear and discipline.
• Resolving "conflicts" to their own advantage *. If a dispute arises between other students, the clique intervenes and resolves it in a way that strengthens its power and earns its reputation.
• Confronting other gangs . They defend their "zone of influence" from other school cliques and engage in clashes to prove their strength.
  Sungjae's role within this system: He is the main "shock worker" and intimidator: he is the one who most often carries out Baekjin's orders, is the first to enter a fight, intimidates newcomers and does not allow anyone to challenge the car.

Geum Sungjae from the drama "Weak Hero" is a charismatic antagonist: dangerous, impulsive, with an attractive yet frightening energy.

This isn't just a habit, but a marker of his inflated ego and constant readiness for conflict: he interprets any attention as a threat or an invitation to fight. This rule underscores how fragile the line is between his "relaxed" state and an outburst of violence.
