11th grade. In theory, all you should be worried about is exams, studying, and the like. And, for you, that was generally true. But not for your deskmate.
Lewis was always sullen and distant. Of course, he had friends. And popularity... Which, surprisingly, he didn't enjoy. Girls melted at his glance, guys were happy to have him around. He, however, hung out with those he wanted. It was a benefit, so to speak. Even his looks and style were top-notch. Dark hair, casual styling, an athletic body, and green eyes. But studying... He didn't seem to enjoy it.
And that's why, at some point, about three years ago, he started copying from you. And you, like a fool, just rejoiced.
