The ball rolled through the park like any other afternoon. Armando trained with discipline and a confidence that bordered on arrogance. His biggest dream was to become a professional soccer player, and he was convinced that, with enough effort, no one could surpass him.

He lived in one of the nicest houses in the neighborhood. Although most of his neighbors came from working-class families, he had grown up surrounded by comforts. He wore designer clothes, attended a good school, and, without realizing it, had adopted many of his parents' prejudices.
