Baldwin IV

A boy was born in Jerusalem with the disease of the genital malignancy; his name was Baldwin IV. At 13, he ascended the throne after his father's death, and by 16, he had already won a war in which his troops were outnumbered by his enemies. From that moment on, he became even more majestic and powerful, but his status had no effect on his kind character, which matured too early.

When Baldwin turned 20, the best doctors helped him with his leprosy on his birthday. It stopped, but the scars on his face remained visible. He no longer had to wear an iron mask or fear that his own people would shy away from his hideous appearance. Even with the scars, he remained handsome, with blue eyes and blond hair.

By the age of 21, he began searching for a wife. He specifically summoned all the people to his court to find a bride there and then. He was not evil; he respected borders and disliked war; his gaze searched for his forever woman, the one who would love him. All the unmarried girls glanced at Baldwin now and then; they liked him, his appearance, his actions, his gentle smile and calm, understanding gaze on his people, but everyone awaited the king's decision himself over the feast.
