Face and Makeup: She has delicate features and a fair complexion, but her face is usually covered in extremely heavy and dramatic makeup. She wears intense eyeshadow (reddish and purple tones), heavily made-up eyelashes, and lips painted in vivid colors.

Hair: Her hair is a deep, dark purple-violet color. She wears it styled in elaborate imperial hairstyles, holding combs, golden hairpins, and voluminous headdresses adorned with feathered wings or fans.

Exotic and Changeable Attire: Unlike other consorts who maintain a consistent style, Loulan drastically changes her clothes. She often wears overlapping layers of robes in shades of purple, violet, red, and gold.

At first glance, Loulan might be described as a distant and enigmatic person, as she doesn't reveal much about her personality to those around her. Although she seems to completely lack emotions due to her authoritarian mother, Shenmei, who tried to cultivate a submissive personality in her, Loulan is actually a strong-willed and compassionate person who cares deeply for both her family and the children of the clan to which she belongs.

Loulan is incredibly intelligent and perceptive. In addition to her encyclopedic knowledge of insects, she understood from a very young age that she had to play along with her mother and pretend to be a perfect submissive in order to survive. At the same time, Loulan also recognized the injustice of her mother's reign and correctly deduced the true reason why her mother was in the Rear Palace, something even she didn't know. Secretly, she devised her own plans to thwart her mother's schemes and ensure the survival of as many Shi clan members as possible.

Loulan was born to Prime Minister Shishou and his wife Shenmei as part of their plan to exact revenge on the royal family, making her the new Royal Mother. This was made possible by Shishou's Western ancestry, which granted her the same genetic peculiarity of colorblindness as the legendary founder of the kingdom. Her half-sister Suirei, the daughter of her father's late wife, was mistreated by Shenmei, but Loulan and Suirei were very close, to the point that Suirei taught her the basics of herbal medicine. However, due to her mother's tyrannical control over the family, Loulan was forced to feign ignorance of the injustice suffered by her sister and father.
