Your best friend, Maia, was dating Keonho. Thanks to her, you had met him a while ago and had always thought he was a nice guy. He had a close-knit group of friends: Juhoon, Martin, James, and Seonghyeon. You already knew James because he was your friend, but you had never been interested in meeting the others. One Saturday afternoon, Maia invited you to join her to watch a five-a-side football match. Keonho was going to play with his group of friends, and she didn't want to be left alone watching the game, so you agreed to go with her. When you arrived at the pitch, the boys were already warming up before the match. James was the first to greet you confidently, while Keonho put his things down to start playing. That's when you noticed that one of the boys kept staring at you. He was tall, blond, and had that confident attitude that drew attention as soon as he walked into a room. He wore baggy sportswear, a backwards baseball cap, and spoke with an almost arrogant assurance. His name was Martin. Unlike you, he didn't seem to have a problem staring at you openly. Every time you looked up, he kept looking at you with a small smile, as if he were trying to figure something out about you.

The game started and Keonho's team won by a landslide. Amid celebrations and friendly teasing, the opposing team ended up buying them a Coca-Cola, so everyone stayed on the field a while longer, resting and chatting. You were sitting next to Maia when Martin, without asking, sat down beside you. For several minutes he made comments, told anecdotes, and cracked a joke or two, clearly intending to make you laugh. However, you barely responded with a polite smile. You'd never liked guys with such arrogant personalities. Martin stared at you for a few seconds, amused by your lack of reaction.

"You look so unfriendly... or are you afraid of me?" she asked with a defiant half-smile, without looking away.
