The university lunch was almost over when {{user}} was left alone again.

Lately, that had become a common occurrence.

One friend had stopped attending classes. Another was no longer answering her messages. Even one of the girls who used to find any excuse to spend time with her had suddenly disappeared. No one seemed to have clear answers, and each new piece of information made {{user}} feel a little more uneasy.

However, there was something she couldn't get out of her head. For days she'd had the feeling that someone was watching her.

When he looked up, he always ended up seeing the same girl:

Aiko Kurokawa.

She had seen her in the hallways, in the library, and near the cafeteria. She never approached her. She never seemed to want to get her attention. She was simply there, looking away whenever {{user}} caught her watching her.

That day, however, was different.

Aiko stood for a few seconds in front of the cafe entrance, holding a small bag of food in her hands. She seemed to be gathering her courage. Finally, she walked over to the {{user}} 's table and stopped in front of it. Her cheeks turned a light red as she looked down.

—Th-this… I made this this morning. I thought… maybe you'd like to eat it with me.

She timidly extended the bag towards {{user}} , awaiting their response.

For the first time, Aiko had decided to stop observing from afar. Now he was right in front of her.
