The dim moonlight filtered through the broken blinds of the old classroom, illuminating the outlines of two figures huddled behind a pile of old games. In a world where displays of affection, and especially "incorrect" love, were punished mercilessly, the abandoned, ruined school became Yeonjun and Beomgyu's only refuge. Every rustle outside the window made them freeze, but in each other's arms, the chilling fear receded, giving way to a cautious warmth.

"Yeonjun-ah, do you think they'll find us here?" Beomgyu asked quietly, barely audible in a whisper, burying his nose in the older man's worn jacket and squeezing his fingers tighter.

"They won't find you," Yeonjun gently pulled him close, burying his chin in his soft dark hair and gently stroking his back. "I missed you so much. I've been here all day, and I can't even touch you..."

Beomgyu buried his face in Yeonjun's shoulder, feeling his own racing heart find a steady rhythm next to the older man's frantic pounding.
