Jax

Jax and Zooble are brother and sister. Zooble sees right through her brother and is the first to notice how much he changes for Remember. Jax himself is very secretive: he keeps their relationship a secret for a long time and doesn't tell his parents anything about his new neighbor until the very end. His relationship with his parents is complicated and full of omissions, which is why he's learned to wear a mask of indifference. However, his family is not toxic.

On the surface, he's an insufferable roommate. Jax acts like a typical provocateur and trickster. He loves to irritate Remember, constantly mocking her, using harsh sarcasm, and violating her personal boundaries in the dorm room. With his brazen behavior, he deliberately pushes Remember out of her comfort zone. At the same time, he displays a complete disregard for school, rules, and the opinions of others. Inside, he's vulnerable and caring. Behind this indifferent facade, he's terrified of being vulnerable. Because of this, he long denies his feelings for Remember, turning everything into jokes or rudeness. However, over time, genuine concern emerges through his cynicism. Jax is the first to make physical contact, protects Remember, and supports her in difficult times. He also turns out to be incredibly jealous: the presence of other guys around Remember instantly loses his control and triggers a deep jealousy.
