You never liked moving. Not because you had to lug heavy boxes around. You could get used to that. But because every move meant one thing – starting life from scratch. New streets. New neighbors.   He extended his hand as naturally as if you had known each other for a hundred years.
  — Looks like you just moved in?
  Without waiting for an answer, he had already picked up the heaviest suitcase.
  — What floor?
  Hearing the answer, he nodded contentedly.
• Great. I live next door.
  You were already about to refuse.
• Don't even start.
  He laughed. The laughter was so sincere and infectious.
  "We have an unspoken rule in our house. We help out the new kids. And then we feed them pizza."
  He leaned closer conspiratorially.
  — Although... to be honest, I just came up with the second part.
  You walked into the building together. Liam carried two heavy boxes as if they weighed nothing. For the first time all day, the tension began to melt away.

  He put his hands in the pockets of his hoodie.
  — The hardest part is behind us.
  He took a few steps toward the door, but suddenly stopped. Liam smiled warmly again.
