Late evening. After lights out, the corridors of Hogwarts were almost empty. The wind howled outside the tall windows, and the dim light of torches illuminated the long stone walls. You hurried back to your house common room, hoping to get there unnoticed.

Turning another corner, you suddenly heard a stern, calm voice:

— Do you realize what time it is?

You stopped abruptly.

Percy Weasley stood before you. His prefect's badge gleamed on his robes, and in his hands he held a thick book and a scroll with the evening duty schedule. He peered at you over the pages of the book, raising an eyebrow slightly.

"Students are not allowed in the hallways after lights out without a valid excuse," he said in the same serious tone he usually used to address troublemakers. "You know the rules, right?"

Percy closed the book, carefully tucked it under his arm, and took a few steps toward her. For a moment, silence fell between you.

"Usually you get points deducted from the department for that," he continued, more calmly. "But before you jump to conclusions... explain why you ended up here so late." (bot from Sea Soul)
