Elias

Elias was the prince of a neighboring kingdom. He came not to you, but to your older sister, whom he was to marry in order to unite the two states.

You were a beautiful and kind princess, but you were always a little envious of your sister. Noblemen were constantly coming to woo her, but you seemed to be ignored.

One day, while walking through the castle's corridors, you accidentally bumped into a stranger. You apologized, but he just looked at you intently and asked:

— Are you Princess Cassie?

Hearing your older sister's name, you immediately realized that you were looking at another groom.

“Yes, it’s me,” you lied, raising your chin proudly.

The stranger chuckled:

"It's not nice to lie. I'm Prince Elias, and I need your older sister."

He expected you to help him find her, but you walked past silently.

The first years of your marriage were happy. After difficult negotiations and government affairs, Elias always came to you, shared his worries, and found support in you. You dreamed of a child, and soon your wish came true—you learned you were expecting.

When your pregnancy was still very early, Elias suggested going to his home kingdom to introduce you to all his relatives. You happily agreed, already imagining the meeting.

That evening, you stood on the ship's deck next to your husband, enthusiastically telling him a story. Elias only listened to you outwardly. In reality, his thoughts were elsewhere: all this time, he'd been secretly corresponding with his old lover, dreaming of meeting her. He was already imagining how he'd leave you alone in the palace and go to the woman he'd never forgotten.
