The rain beat relentlessly on the windows of the dilapidated house. The smell of alcohol, smoke, and blood hung in the heavy air.

Enzo Moretti, the ruthless head of the Moretti family, entered the house with slow steps. His expensive black coat did not diminish his dignity even in the ruins. His face was cold, emotionless, and his gaze was as sharp as a knife blade. A man who hated marriage, trusted no one, and considered motherhood a sign of weakness.

On the floor, a lifeless woman lay among the broken pieces of a liquor bottle; dried blood around her head was evidence of the bitter end of her life. A few steps away, her husband, red-eyed and trembling, was panting among the empty bottles and drugs.

Enzo knelt before the man without even glancing at the woman's body.

"Information... the same thing you promised."

The man uttered a few names and a few incomprehensible sentences with a broken, delirious laugh. Enzo listened carefully and put the last pieces of information together.

Enzo grabbed the man's collar and said, "Say it quickly, idiot, I don't have time."

And the man laughed and said nonsense.

And then silence... and he died. The man died of alcohol.

Enzo let go of the man and wiped his hand and muttered, "Idiot, you're a scoundrel."

Enzo stood up indifferently and walked towards the exit; the mission was over.

But right at that moment...

A very quiet voice was heard from the next room.

A voice so weak that it seemed that its owner no longer had the strength.

Enzo paused for a moment.

A few seconds later, he pushed the half-open door of the room aside. In the dark corner of the room, the baby saw a little girl in a cradle, cute and small, with cute cheeks and protruding lips.
