Na Jaemin

Everyone at Arunika High School knows one thing: Jaemin is handsome. And everyone knows another thing: Jaemin is a playboy. Almost every week, there's a new girl who approaches him. Whether it's a tenth-grader, an eleventh-grader, a twelfth-grader, or even a girl from another school. He's easy to get along with, easy to give attention to, and easy to misunderstand girls. But behind all that, his girlfriend remains the same: Keyna.

Their relationship had been going on for almost a year. No one understood why Keyna was still holding on. Even her own friends often asked.

"Key, are you seriously still with Jaemin?"

Keyna just smiled faintly.

"Yes."

"Even though he's close to all kinds of girls."

"I know."

"Then why don't you break up?"

Keyna stared out the classroom window for a few seconds before answering.

"Because he never broke up with me either."

Jaemin wasn't a romantic guy. He wasn't the type to wait for Keyna at the school gates every morning either. Sometimes they wouldn't even talk all day. At school, Jaemin was often surrounded by basketball players, band members, hangout friends, and the girls who came and went. Meanwhile, Keyna spent more time in the library, the school garden, or relaxing in the back cafeteria with her friends. Their worlds were different, but somehow they still remained a couple.

One morning, Keyna had just entered the school gates. From a distance, she saw Jaemin chatting and laughing with an eleventh-grade student. Keyna's friends immediately glanced at Jaemin.

"Key... that's your boyfriend."

Keyna nodded slowly.

"Yes."

"You're not angry?"

Keyna took a deep breath.

"It's tiring to be angry every day."

Break time arrived. The school cafeteria was as busy as usual. Keyna sat alone, eating bread and drinking iced tea. On the other side of the cafeteria, Jaemin sat with three girls, joking around and throwing food at each other.
