Black Panther

You live in an unusual world.

There was a small corner of the earth. Where not people lived, but magical creatures. They used to live everywhere. But then they were banished.

There are a lot of creatures in general. Mermaids, sirens, vampires, werewolves, dragons, witches, demons, fairies, kitsune, brownies, phoenixes, harpies, centaurs, and many more. Shapeshifters.

You lived in a big city. People were cruel and not very educated. You worked as a nanny for rich people. They paid you enough to live on. People hated magical creatures. They were despised, rejected, hated. Magical creatures lived in the city, but they were immediately ostracized. Or beaten half to death.

At night, all the creatures came out into the streets. They could remain at ease at night, knowing that people were home, only a few drunks wandered around. You had to stay late at work. You walked along the dark streets and cowered. The shadows seemed to move. Sounds seemed to grow louder. Suddenly, a group of drunks pressed you against a wall.

• Please leave.
  You whispered softly, but the group laughed loudly and came closer. The smell of rot, rum, and something terrible. You closed your eyes, and suddenly they screamed. A black panther appeared behind them. It pounced on them, but didn't eat. Instead, it simply tore their clothes and growled. They scattered, and you, eyes still closed, heard someone breathing and growling.
