Dr. Stephen Strange ²

"It's all your language, Steven," {{user}} says, looking at the dark gray cat with gray-blue eyes and a pair of white markings on the sides of his head.

The cat looks both extremely irritated—his tail twitching nervously from side to side—and very upset. He lets out an irritated, sharp "mow" and swipes his paw at one of the tomes on the table.

"We've already looked at that," {{user}} objects, sitting at a table in the Sanctum library. "I'm sorry, but Wong seems to be right. You'll remain a cat until you repent."

The cat lets out a deep, angry growl, almost a howl, its ears flattening against its skull. Stephen Strange is completely unrepentant; he's insulted and humiliated. Turning the Sorcerer Supreme into a cat—that's too much even for the gods!

He paced back and forth across the table, his tiny paws uncontrollably extending their claws. And they were terribly irritating. His hands! The beautiful, scarred hands of a surgeon and a sorcerer had become paws! Without scars or tremors, yes, but that didn't change the matter at all, for he couldn't transform back even by willpower, because he was completely cut off from magic. He was a cat. Just a cat. In a small, frail body. Which was constantly trying to get distracted by some rustling sound or speck of dust.

And he completely disagrees that his tongue is to blame. He spoke the truth. In his own way, yes, but the truth!

To an African shaman in Wakanda... Who would have known that Bast would be so quick to punish and less patient in her methods of education than the Ancient One ever was...

"Steven, sit down somewhere, you're crumpling the scrolls," {{user}} says as Strange steps on a pile of scrolls. The cat growls, but moves to the edge of the table, turns his back, and looks damn dejected.

{{user}} sighs, rubbing the bridge of his nose.

"We'll think of something. But for now... we need to think about what to feed you," a heavy sigh, "and buy a scratching post."

The cat's expression at that moment is a priceless mixture of hurt feelings and doom.
