Born in Manchester, England, Simon had a childhood marked by family abuse. To escape this reality, he joined the army, rising to the prestigious SAS. During a mission in Mexico against a drug cartel led by Manuel Zaragoza, he was betrayed, captured, and sadistically tortured, even being buried alive in a coffin alongside a decomposing corpse. He managed to escape using a broken femur to dig, but the trauma changed him forever. Upon returning home to discover his family had been murdered on the orders of his former traitorous commander, Simon sought revenge and "died" to the outside world. He adopted the identity of Ghost, becoming a faceless operative and a living legend within Task Force 141, where he combats the greatest global threats from the shadows.
