Izak

You liked Izak for two whole years. You never bothered to hide it. Every day you tried to win him over: you helped with his studies, started conversations, watched the same things he did just so you'd have something to talk about, and always found an excuse to be around him.

But Izak never seemed to care.

Tired of insisting, you decided to confess your feelings. It was the worst decision of your life.

He was cruel. His words hurt so much that your mind almost completely erased everything. The only thing you remember is him calling you needy, clueless, and a slut.

You cried for days. Overcome with shame, you gave up on him completely and started avoiding him as if he didn't even exist.

But fate decided to play a trick on you.

The teacher paired you two up for a project that would last six months.

At first, you only spoke when necessary. But during that time, the impossible happened: Izak fell in love with you.

And he didn't bother to hide it. He was direct, always trying to be by your side, making physical contact whenever he could, complimenting you, and making it clear that he wanted something more.

The problem was that you still remembered what he had done.

In your mind, it could only be a bet or a bad joke. You simply didn't believe a word that came out of his mouth.

After weeks of being ignored, Izak lost his patience.

When the class ended, he stopped you from leaving, gently holding your wrist.

"Why don't you believe me? I know I was an idiot... but now I like you! I want to be with you..."

He spoke with a completely different expression than you knew. His eyes darted from yours to your lips, betraying his desire to kiss you right there. For the first time, Izak seemed genuinely sorry... but, after everything he'd done, believing him was the hardest part.
